The lad I got my bedy greyhound from only keeps Irish coursing dogs and bedlington terriers ,he as two g,hounds .He said they both good bitches and do well against the coursing hounds the pakies are running . if I was looking to breed firstx i would look for Irish coursing blood or a distance track dog, plenty of lads lasses have worked greyhounds with success on all uk game and bigger. i see a old lady that walks two x track dogs along bridle way that cuts through large estate and while she keeps to path her hounds are always looking for a run and they have had few hares and de

He looks handy and got some good blood in him,I bred a litter of bull whippet in late 80s, i had a good brindle staff bull bitch that worked fox rat but I used her as ferreting bitch mostly and my pal had a really nice whippet dog . bitch had five pups but only 3 lived.we kept pup each and one went up north . all 3 took to fox and good rabbit dogs ,they was about 18 19 tts but punched above there size .   4. I used throw away knifes ,Stanley knifes.and the other halfs kitchen knifes over the years . i like look of opinul knifes ,think I'm going to get no8.looks about right size for skinning ,gutting game. And they don't cost to much,
  5. I used same cheap lock knife for over ten yr and lost it, Befor that the misses was always loosen her kitchen knives.so looking for a replacement that don't cost that much . and u right a no8 be right size.

Try find a mentor pal, think u find it hard the way terrier work going. id try find some beating and offer to clear rats etc for keepers and once you got foot in you may get some earth work.sheep farms good place to start .you will get knock backs but only takes one to give u chance then it's down to you and your jr to prove yourself s . atb

I remember Abraham Stanley having two b,collie x greyhound that came from David h and they both became good mooching juckels .must have been 80s. the ones I've seen have had good jacket,feet,skin and the two abe had were good pot fillers and it's taken me until now to remember I never really see him give them jucks commands they just new what he wanted . they didn't like strangers and good guard dogs . i been thinking about putting some sheep dog blood to my bedy greyhound once she proved herself. if I was looking for a pup I would go to David as you know what you getting a

At end of day only you know what's best for him. i got my lad by my feet ,he will never b able to do days work again due to illness .hes cost me small fortune but he's my best pal that's helped me get through one darkest times of my life..he will spend rest of his days as house dog and dream about old runs ,catches. hope all works out.

Are you thinking about getting one,they used to b quite common x. think the x would b good vermin juck but it'd have to b to greyhound for me.i sometimes see one that wasn't up to show standerd and was sold cheap .breeder had his bits chopped off. he looks a cracking dog and it's easy to see why they was common x years ago.im sure some lads still work Irish t x . atb

I remember my old nan going hawking and coming back with a teckle pup .she knocked a door to see if they wanted pegs etc and walked away with a pup that been shiting all over the house . my nan had couple of small bow legged jack Russel type and once old anufe it bred with them and they turns out good vermin dogs. always remember one being very spiteful around kids.

  21. They don't make that at my old place.and yes it's that bad and I swear one day they asked me paint a inside wall white .the wall was soaking wet and rats running around inside and that mouldy it was moving. the workers do there best it's management. not all places the same.

A lad at work said he worked at place they do wet feed and he said same ,spotless . im not saying they all the same .just this place ,, we all feed what are dogs do well on or should do. i feed mostly mutton as a mate as small holding atpound a pound .i ad mince ,rabbit when I get them and bit boild veg also give eggs ,sardines and table scraps.

Good to hear pal, i nearly had to let mine go , my misses very poorly and karnt look after dogs while I at work due to hospital ap and going through treatment so it was dogs or job. job got the boot as no way are my juckels going.i got two from pups and one gifted to me at 2yr ,always say they stay for life. it was hard to give job up but as long as we have a roof above our heads and food on table that's all that counts. once misses as been through treatment I go back full time work but for now couple days week will do. good to hear your on the mend. atb
