Good to hear pal, i nearly had to let mine go , my misses very poorly and karnt look after dogs while I at work due to hospital ap and going through treatment so it was dogs or job. job got the boot as no way are my juckels going.i got two from pups and one gifted to me at 2yr ,always say they stay for life. it was hard to give job up but as long as we have a roof above our heads and food on table that's all that counts. once misses as been through treatment I go back full time work but for now couple days week will do. good to hear your on the mend. atb

I used to work at a animal feed manufactures that makes all top horse feeds and working dog kibble such as csj ,chudley etc and not one is any different than the cheapest feed they make just different shape and size. the condition the feed is made in is appalling ,they had bags returnd with dead rats in ,bits of metal and one women opens bag and large bits of chicken fat fell out. They got metal detector on dog plant machine but once its rejected dozen bags the lads working plant been told to turn detector of ,as loosing to much money. when I first started there I kept seeing th

Getting permission for terrierwork
Moocher71 replied to Bullrussel101's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
I haven't done any terrier work for year but I do bit with the runners and permission is hard to get And easy to loose. best advise is what dc said, and stu, get out beating, offer your service to local farms . you might get lot knock backs but only takes one to say yes and then it's down to you and your juck to prove yourself to landowner. good luck atb- 16 replies

Get yourself a whippet or x and let the lad handle the pup, clean kennel and feed Walk the juckel. Its ok haven a working animal but got put hard work in,its not all about the chase, lamping ferreting etc, Once lad is cleaning crap up in all weather and walking training and getting juck fit,he might want to go back to play station with pals but if hes willing on doing everything a dog needs and training and getting fit to work then gift the dog to him. If he doesn't get into the running dog game then no harm as you are dogs owner.at least this way you aint left looking after a do
