Why folk try and get dogs fit in this heat I'll never know other than it's foolish and cruel, My sister in law was on way home from work yesterday and they was a woman with two labs in the park both were suffering with heat stroke, foaming at the mouth and one was on its side in a bad way ,it's tongue was swollen and Even though water and wet cloth's were used to try bring temp down etc this dog died, women said she had only been out for twenty minutes. The other lab was taken to vet's also in a bad way, Summer time means lazy days for my dogs and walk's by the river we're they

Looks like the two I had in 80s, had some fun with them, the bitch dropped to ground plenty of times, she would fold her legs and get into some tight place's but she always got the job done. Atb, love the old pics, -

Gives better coat, bigger bones, nose the whippet as a good nose but they rip easy were a bedy whippet as thicker skin and cope with cold better than whippet, I'm a fan of the whippet and the bedlington, as coney dogs there hard to beat, atb -
First cross Beddy Whippet

Yes mate, had two, dog and bitch, the dog made 21tts and the bitch 19, mostly used for ferreting, lamping and the dog would take fox single handed, the bitch took to feather and took pheasants and ducks that got to close. The bitch made some terriers look stupid on rats, I really don't think you can get a better x for ferreting, mooching. Atb -

I really rate bedlington blood in a lurcher, I really do believe the bedlington greyhound f1 is the all rounder as long as it's bred for work not money, I had bedlington whippet in 80s and she took hundreds of Rabbits and she would rat as good as any terrier. Atb -
Good luck with the pup atb

My bedlington greyhound f1 from Terry's line, only 18 weeks 17 tts and she's coming along just fine. Good luck with your pup, got any pics.

I was looking at getting a pup from dave next time a litter comes out of Sam, is your bitch doing OK, got a picture? I really rate the whippet, and they punch well above there weight and bring much more than speed into the mix when breeding a lurcher, atb

I remember being about 14 and going ferreting and no one blinked a eye lid, two years ago I walked over a public sports field with a brace of coneys and I get several "your cruel" you should be run by a dog "by a couple of narrow minded members of the public, I also had a good chat with a old couple who had great memories of ferreting when younger, I gave them a rabbit which they gladly excepted.

My bedlington greyhound is broken to fowl, she would run in if they fluttered there wings at first but a stern No sorted it, getting her stedy around sheep is next, she's not interested while on lead and watches the older dog's walk through them so hopefully she will follow suit, she's drinking from same bowl as ferrets so she's doing OK at 4 months old, she's seen cats and don't bother unlike the whippet x who's neck grows a yard and eyes look like there on springs. Your juckel looks a nice sort,

Morning mate, is she first x Bedlington whippet, I have fond memories of mooching with two my uncle kept thirty od years ago, what fun we had, kept several crosses over the years but gone back to bedlington greyhound as I find bedyx do everything I need them to,
-
How much you want for it,
-
Thanks mate, I will get some as my Saluki whippet x Bedlington whippet is nearly 8 now and still one of the best rabbiting dog's I've had but I can see he's feeling it after a night lamping but what he lacks in speed he makes up for in experience , plenty of catches by being in right place. Atvb
