  2. ??. I have held off practicing so much since. I think once you get your anchor and reference points they come naturally. been in Norfolk for a few days hardly any phone signal. off up to Berwick-upon-Tweed and the borders for a few days soon?. Will take catty with me.
  3. plenty on ebay katchy. you can buy the bands ready made. they are easy to attach to the frame.
  4. does practice make perfect? when I have a practice session it usually takes a few shots to find some accuracy. yet last week I didn't pick the catty up for a few days. was on the garden feeding the ferrets when a woodie landed on the TV aerial, nipped in for the catty and took it with a neck shot, first shot for a few days and my first pigeon.
  5. I like him, I wouldn't want anything any bigger ?

  10. that's the chappy ?. he's certainly not my build (good job cos he's dead anyway) I am built like the gable end of a five pound note.
  11. heart of the country was on central telly. Tony Francis hosted it, some good bits and bobs on it. all the rabbiting bits was the same old fat chap who did a bit of cooking as well ?
  12. exactly there is a reason they have disappeared in the first place. dropped off in old setts? it's not that simple.
  13. I like the look of that?. let me know if it ever needs a home to go to.
  14. I have watched a few of your videos in YouTube. looks a good sort. I like the Whippet x collie bitch, that's my kind of dog?. I like my whippet lurchers.
  15. I think it's a misprint, think he meant well proportioned dog.
  16. I don't know whereabouts you are, but it's like that in a lot of places. I have travelled to the east coast a couple of times recently and it was dire on the roads. year's ago you would see them on the verges and run over. I saw 4 young rabbits that was it. I went up into the peak district last week to a place that years ago was holding big numbers. it looked dead, dog put 1 rabbit up into a little sett, it looked like the only rabbit there.
  17. I agree with you %100 I have never had the intention to do something others will do far better. I meant tying a knot in the line?
  18. that is a big sin katchy. must never resort to that
  19. just used some precise. 65 23/18 taper. didn't get many shots and what I didn't like it snapped without warning halfway along the band. I have found with gzk bands they tend to get little tears near the pouch so at least you know they are ready for going.
  20. what are the non peds like hunting up wise? Will they use nose and work rather than just a sight hound?
  21. what have the whippets been like trev? in general stamina wise?
