we are all at the mercy of what we are told is in the breeding. you try and do your homework to tip the odds in your favour and a lot of hard work goes into a breeding program. l have always bought pups in, sometimes it works other times not. bitch I have now is a unregistered beddy to a non ped whippet. not got a clue about the beddy, could have a bit of fell in it, but she does everything I bought her for?

had nets off both of them (Netmaker and netrigger) can't fault either of them. top quality ?
-
rabbits running along the net is very common, always tail your nets, by this I mean set the last 20yard at a right angle so it's pointing back into the field.
-
I like the look of that. would fancy trying a whippet x wheaton cross
-
Wouldn’t you expect a more uniform litter putting a first cross back to running dog? ie whippet or greyhound. less in the mix than lurcher to lurcher?
-
same here mate. I would have thought they would be rarer than beddys
-
why complicate things? just use your judgement of what u believe the type of cross will suit and buy a pup. take a chance. you can search for the holy grail, jump through hoops and it could still turn out not what you want. Good luck ?

What happened to the collie crosses?
fred90 replied to poachers apprentice's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
it all comes down to what you want to hunt and work. mine are no good on anything bigger than a rabbit, but I am not interested in anything bigger than a rabbit. plenty of types for different jobs ? -

a good Whippet x or straight whippet should do the job for you. -
Yes mate, but these were big tall oak trees and soon disappeared.
-
Nice one ?. out this morning, saw a few but couldn't get near them. they were off along the tree tops.

what is that famous quote katchy? I wouldn't join any club that would have me as a member
-
I think they were called a eubank or something, and I don't mean Chris.

years ago it would have been the folding fourten and high powered air rifles. now as said before a changing world full of do gooders. but we have adapted to it and are enjoying it, talk about old dogs and new tricks ?

Bedlington Whippet pup.
fred90 replied to jason_morenikeji@hotmail.c's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
there looks a useful litter on pets for homes, 5/8ths. 3/8ths. but at todays prices £1450. only the pet homes must be paying it. -
bit before my time ??
-
it all comes down to personal preference really. I only have bitches, I seem to bond well with them. work wise I would say nothing to choose between the two.
-
remember grasshopper, experience comes with age?
-
I had one off Kelly in 91 good little ferreting bitch I was happy with her.
-
I don't know about Phil Haynes, I meant a friend of mine has kept beddywhippets for over 40 years.
-
a very good friend of mine had one from him a few years ago. he's kept beddywhippets over 40 years. he said he was full of it most of it bullshit. however the pup he bought, a small liver bitch made about 20tts.one of the best dogs he's ever had.

looks like she’s making a cracking little dog?. type and breeding play a big part but just as important or more importantly is how they are entered and everyday bought on. she's a real credit to you and what you have put in?
-
sounds like a good tool your using Mr Wilkes can see the advantages ?. remember the pheasants are for ornamental purposes only.
-
it's a low dirty trick to play. it makes good people think twice about trusting people, unfortunately that can effect the genuine ones who do exist.
-
forgive my ignorance lads. this is only form of social media I have anything to do with. how do you get scammed on Facebook?
