  2. I know the feeling mate, I cling on to the hope rabbits will make a comeback, I have a lovely pair of last years white jills, good working stock, not seen work yet, but I don't want to let them go.

for me it's the lack of rabbits I haven't run a net out for a long time, spent 20 minutes recently pulling a rabbit out of a drystone wall only to find out it was a squirrel

4z is what you want for night netting, tangles them up lovely, netrigger is second to none when it comes to hand knitted nets, also nelson of nelsons net loft does good traditional net's at a good price, 4z, and 2 1/8th mesh, I have 2 of them and they good nets

nice one Terry, good to see someone out with a net, even better it's a traditional one
  6. I think you have caught the entire population of England , good to see some numbers
  7. cracking pup, good luck with him
  8. I had one bred that way in the late 80s, she only made 18 tts, but so far the best ferreting dog I have owned,
  9. mine was that size at same age made 19tts, I was hoping for bigger but thank fxxk she didn't, I think the smaller ones are far better suited to what I want, around cover, hedgerow, embankments etc.
  10. nice one , it's a beautiful place, drove from kettlewell to Leyburn that single track road is a real eye opener, even more so when a tractor comes other way
  11. will do , one morning I had a walk around Constable Burton, fxxk me I have never seen so many pheasants and feeders, had dogs on lead, they would have run riot, never saw anyone but I always had the feeling of being watched.
  12. it would have been too warm anyway mate, enjoyed it that much booked again for next year as soon as we got back.
  13. it's a strange one mate, mine won't have it at any cost, different line of ferret from different people but neither will touch it.
  14. I have been mate, early September, had a great time
  15. looking like it's going to be a fine net . I like the thin stuff, really tangles them up.
  16. mine would rather starve than eat it.
  17. my own limited knowledge and frame hits, I found thicker bands and heavier ammo lead to inaccuracy due to my wrists being like Larry graysons, a lighter setup. 65 bands and 9.5mm steel cured it.
  18. good luck with him, I have never had a dog only bitches, when I bought the whippet there was a cracking Pied dog pup, I was very tempted but stuck with a bitch pup, I sometimes think I may be missing out sometimes.
  19. nice litter, what's your reason for a dog pup?
  20. I realised long ago that perfection doesn't exist, unless your Brian plummer
  21. I don't care if it plays a trumpet and dances, so long as it tells me
