    it's a strange one, some love feather other's don't. I would definitely encourage the pup. little dog I have now has Jaws like a gin trap with rat, rabbit, squirrel. yet feathers she hardly mouths them and tends to hold them. she's had a couple of pheasant and 10 woodpidgeons. she found her 1st pheasant nest before a year old.

    2 weeks ago, walking a grass field little dog working along bottom of embankment a few yards away. farmer comes across get that dog on a lead. I pointed out that the field was empty no livestock in the vicinity. he went on to say he had shot 4 dogs had 49 sheep killed. all complete boxxocks. he even said one of his sheep had killed a local dog. you see a lot /most farmers are Bell ends

    just carry on regardless. I tend not to ask as when they refuse which is 99 times out of a 100 it draws there attention and they are on the look out.

    my lamping days ended years ago mate, besides she's no running dog. but the next pup should be a bit more runner so I could just be tempted for a little shine ?

    I have visions of a device you point at holes telling you if rabbit is at home thus making a marking dog redundant. prefered it back in the day, but that's what you get when you're past 50?

    I am not sure I like where all the tech gear is going. not knocking what you are doing, it's up to you what you raffle and who buys tickets. it's all the new gear stuff still to come when does it stop being sporting?

    funny you should say that tomo. just spent a few days in Wales and not seen rabbits in these numbers for years. it was sending little dog berserk, she jumped out of the car window and was off. been going there for years and only usually see odd ones ?

    I average around 15 miles a day at work. then depending on time of year 2 hours with the dog when I get home. it takes a long time to do a lot of miles.
