  1. I only met him a few times - he was a good 'un. ......... He was a big lad and, the sort to help anyone. It is a shame.
  2. Will there be a roof? ......... I don't like getting my rifles wet
  3. It's good to it still doing what it was made for Nice one Mark
  4. Welcome Jamie All I can add to what's already been said is, it's often not about what you know but, who you know. .......... try visiting a few local farm shops - they love a good chin wag, strike up a conversation while you're buying some sausages. Build a bit of trust and drop it into the conversation. Good luck.
  5. I've had a Combro for years - it's served me well The Chrony ones are also good - you can test pellets at different ranges.
  6. Cheers Jamie You never know mate - if I end up getting into it properly and, the lads at Black Cat don't think I'm a wank shot, I might end up travelling to a couple of shoots. ......... You'll recognise me - I'll be the one with the crazy lockdown hair-do trying to at least plate the long shots
  7. Cheers Steve Will do mate - it'll be good to finally meet up, and to see some of the old faces at the club again. ....... Did you hear the sad news about Sam?
  8. Cheers John Yes, it'll be a challenge for sure mate - I'm hoping that if I set a zero and, work out where the top and bottom of the thinner bits of the crosshairs land, I can wing it from there I had a couple of goes a while back with with an HW100 and an Airmax AMX scope - I managed to score a 49 and a 51. ........ if i can get at least a 30 with this on the first go I'll be happy ?
  9. Cheers Phil I think the scope appeals to me for it's simplicity. The quality of the lenses is pretty good as well. I've not been far mate - I always look in. ......... I haven't been out with a rifle for ages but, I hope to change that when the ranges open up again ? I'll post my HFT scores for a giggle I hope you and yours have been keeping well through these strange times
  10. I like beer around the 5% mark - some of the really strong ones have a taste that I don't like. Generally I prefer cider - Henry Westons is nice but, at just over 8% I don't have too many. Given the choice, I'd go for a nice dark rum.
  11. Went with a retro dinner, straight from the 80s for tonight - mince and onions. ......... very satisfying
  12. Cheers mate Yes, you can use any reticle you like in HFT - I just fancied this for it's simplicity. A friend gave me a 3.5-10x50 WTC a while ago - I've liked them ever since so, when I saw this smaller one for sale, I grabbed it.
  13. Cracking pictures chaps I hope to be able to move us out somewhere that we can have some livestock eventually.
  14. It's been a while fellas - I do apologise. ........ I do keep looking in though it's been a funny ol' time for me, since the end of 2019 - I ditched the retail management job because I just couldn't stick the wanky upper management and their brown nosers any more. Bunch of feckin clowns. ............ I went for a career change at the start of 2020 and started a new job on the railway - lots of responsibility and unsociable hours but, I'm really enjoying it Anyway, back to the subject - I fancied a crack at HFT this year (when it's available) so, I

    Pet hates.

I've been away from my old estate for a while now so, I'd forgotten about that one .......... yes, that is really anoying. It was the white kids and black kids talking like that - they had a proper shitty version of the English language

    Pet hates.

Yes, that. And coffee drive troughs - who the f**k invented them?

    Pet hates.

Those pricks that wait until they're right on a roundabout before indicating. I'm mostly driving a works van nowadays so, I just don't stop for them. .......... f**k 'em. I'll write off their leased Audi
  18. Nice way to spend an evening
  19. That's thrown out by those that aren't intelligent enough talk like a normal human being and, those that don't have the brain capacity to think things through. To my mind, there's a difference between being racist and being tribal. .......... We moved to swindon when my daughter was 3yrs old - we could have moved into a place near Manchester road that was almost twice the size of this house for nearly the same money. The Manchester road area is full of Goans and Indians. There's loads of ethnic shops and the local primary school is full of their kids. I don't
  20. Anyone with half a brain can see the caliber of the people that have put George Floyd up on a pedestal. .......... That's their measure of quality and, it really doesn't mean much.
  21. The daft old bollocks, he should have walked up the left side
  22. Yes, you can get the adapters easy enough........ Weaver to Dovetail Rail Adapter - 20mm to UK 9.5-11.5mm Adapters Rails WWW.ANT-SUPPLIES.UK
