You tried but no presentations, that`s all. Makes you a better air gun hunter, having the blank sessions, reevaluating your tactics etc, etc. Compliments to you Phill.

Open sights again Nathan - poser Great shooting mate Which gun is that Nathan, looks SMK "ish" Old Super Meteor around the Cylinder cap, trigger and guard. B2 around the under lever. HW 97 around the breech areas. ( just my humble opinions mind)

Yes and i am fast believing this too.

I have a Rat Works tuned TX 200 and an untouched Pro Sport, both .177. If that sounds like it may help you LiP ask away mate.

Classic hunting with the old HW 77.

Hmmmmm I wonder Jimmy ? I have shot guns mate and they would be long gone before any of my air rifles. As you know, i crave the challenge involved in being an air rifle hunter far more than i do being a shotgun hunter. No disrespect to any form of shooting, it`s just my preference to take air gun hunting as far as i can, usually with a spring rifle Training/ practice again tonight, on my 38 yd garden range,-------- " strictly air rifle`s mind " Goo -
I`ve never even picked one up Mark, sorry but i have read on numerous occasions that the older Mamba scope`s reticle is much preferred, to the newer ones. Each to their own i suppose but do go out to a local RFD and try some mate. "Good luck"

Any of the older Mamba range are superb scopes with the SCB reticle, ( xmas tree reticle) For less than £100 ( brand new) you "could have picked up" a Hawke Sport HD AO, IR 4-12x50 - hell of a good air rifle scope. Believe it or not these scopes were taken off the market by Hawke because shooting/ hunting lads preferred this scope to many more expensive scopes that Hawke were/ are making. Here`s my Hawke in use. The Hawke Sport HD is now taken off the 100 KS .22 and on my classic HW 77

Took the old girl out tonight . It was a deluge of a rain shower tonight so i set up a small blind inside an old poly tunnel to try and get a session in. Two presentations tonight and the old girl took both with ease. Her zero. Here`s the small blind, the dead tree is the sitty tree. It was lased to 39 yds from the blind, so perfect zero range. The wood pigeon was taken with a heart, lung shot side on and was an instant dispatch. The Jay offered me just a head/ neck shot at 3

Perfect shot placement there John. atb Mark

I`ve never walked around shoots with shooting sticks as a fence post or tree trunk, etc, does me fine. Moving onto static hunting, hell i wouldn`t be without my Primos shooting sticks. I like, as best, natural hides and my shooting sticks are topped with a two point gun rest. Springer or pcp, if you`ve trained and practiced accordingly your bags will be considerably improved. On walking STR i would use a Primos bi-pod, i can`t recommend these sticks enough mate, for whatever scenario.

Not just myself Gary/ lads. All the land for miles around has been hit hard with mixy, or other man made diseases. Cruel, cruel disease that mixy, whoever invented that shit needs to hang his head in shame for a lifetime. atb Mark.

Tool mart for a cider press mate . I bought one for around £80 and it didn`t half press some fruit.

The HW 100 you already own, or in any format, takes an awful lot of bettering Jimmy. Stay as you are mate is my humble opinion.

Oops, just realised the mix up Jon. I`ve taken the Sports Match off the Hawke and put them along with another scope onto the FWB and put this temporary set up on the 77. I`m not sure about disturbing this set up though , - it seems to be working well. -
Beautiful summer`s evening with the old 77.

I get your drift JJ but " for me" a classic scope would hold back that 77. Her accuracy is stunning and should be complimented. Remember my FWB Sport 124 mk1 .177 (1978) ? Well that`s a Mamba lite/ sports match mounts combination and the results speak for themselves hopefully. Classic rifles can be incredibly well engineered, put a modern scope on them, tune them and you can get some results. -
Beautiful summer`s evening with the old 77.

Here`s one for you Jonjon, That scope is a Hawke sport 4-12 x 50 on a set of high Sports Match, or should i say, i believe them to be sports match mounts ? The Hawke scope became redundant from my HW100 KS the minute i bought the Air Max scope. As a temporary fix i put the hawke Sport on the 77 and feck me it`s like a match from heaven and i`m now very reluctant to change what seems to be a very, very good combination. For me, that Hawke Sport punches well above it`s price tag. Yes ONE, well controlled n -
Went out again tonight with Kaiser and the HW 77. We got settled,i had a full leaf suit on and watched and listened to the wildlife. Have you ever heard one of those bird song dvd`s ? It was just lovely to sit there totally unnoticed. Anyways, the 77 has it`s final zero in place and is now "blisteringly accurate". One presentation in a 2 hour wait but boy did this 77 take it`s chance well. Lovely evening in the nursery woods lads, with a bonus, - loved it. atb Mark.
-
Doesn`t get much better than that Str. Compliments to you atb Mark.
