Nice evening out again with her. We lost a wood pigeon and a rabbit in the smashed/broken glass area on the nursery permission, - I won`t allow Kaiser to retrieve in this area A further wood pigeon turned it`s back on the 97 in the woodland area though. " instant" lights out, 41 yd shot. The Express don't half slam home, hard and true.

Try Mitch`s JSB Exact Express 4.52, 7.87 g in the 97 barrel, feck me, accurate is not the word ! last night in the winds.

You`ve been reading my mind Jimmy.
-
I`ll take them Jimmy. I had the Mamba scope on the FWB with great success but if need be - the Endurance can go on the FWB and the Air max onto the 97K.

Lads, I`ve put a few photos together of the spring rifles I`m hunting with. My 100`s aren`t seeing much work lately, as the enjoyment and satisfaction I`m getting from the springers is just " pure air gunning" HW97K. .177 Pro Sport. .177 T Rex 200 HC MK3. .177 FWB Sport ( 41 yrs old) atb mark

You fecker, you`ve cost me a grand already, this year. What`s your price, inc postage Jimmy ?
-
Jimmy, I know the feeling, . Both of my 100`s haven`t had a look in lately, so, so much more satisfying taking the rabbits with a spring rifle that`s " full of life". Don`t know if you have noticed but the recent trips out have been with the T Rex, Pro Sport and the 97K. I`m on the look out for a suitable scope now for the FWB 124. It`s like having a team of super stars, all wanting to play but there`s only " one place" available. at

Shooting Robo Just bought a 97k myself, it`s turning out to be a superb hunting rifle. Again, - nice shooting mate. atb Mark.

Oyyy ! Watch what your doing putting my rifle on the ground like that ! Twat ! Proper shooting, as per Jimmy I love seeing rifles like this being used and cared for properly. atb Mark.

Hi Phil, I can`t speak for HFT but I can for the hunting side. As I`m sure you know, you`ll get a lot of personal opinions on this question but yes I`ve used the Mamba scopes for years. My HW 100 KT .177 carries the old Mamba 4-16x50 and is laser accurate to 50 yds. For hunting I rarely shoot further than 35-40 yds but when I do, I`m easily capable. I shoot on x10 all the time and have never wanted more magnification. The reticule is SCB, zeroed to 38 yds. I use

Shooting Phil Phil, I have no experience whatsoever of shooting .25 at sub 12 level. When I calibrate near and far with .177 and .22 - 5 yds between point of impact/ mill dot readings is fine. What do you work with, with .25 Phil, especially as range increases ? Also, what is your maximum range with .25 mate ?

This permission`s rabbit numbers are now well under control. Just single rabbits are the normal nowadays . On the approach into the permission a single rabbit was nibbling away so I slowly stopped my van, got out, loaded up and took a rest as best I could, against the back of the van, range 53 yds lased. I had to shoot under that overhanging tree. You can just make out the white of the rabbit`s underside, centre of the disused lane, upper left to the blue water barrel. Here`s the camera view on full mag`. Lased to

Phil, get one of those Jack Pyke pigeon buckets with the swivel seat, it also carries a lot of gear for you when going static hunting. A big tip, sit with your back against a fence or tree trunk - both give greater accuracy to you. atb Mark. -
starting yours tomorrow Mark

They are going to be stunning Jimmy. I`ve never seen anything like them on a rifle as yet. -
Aye up Matty , Nice to see you around again

Shooting Phill I imagine your range finding must have to be absolutely spot on with .25 cal at sub 12 ft/lbs ? How testing that trajectory must be, so much so as a couple of yards/ metres out with your range estimation/ range finder at 40 yds would surely result in a clean miss ? Compliments Phill

Welcome Robo, Excellent shooting with your springer Just bought a 97 myself atb Mark

One of my mates off another forum said,- A lot of HFT shooters are using these rifles Mark, that in itself answers many a question. It surely does ! I fell out with the router mark on my rifle`s stock, " big time" as did a large majority of readers who saw the photos I posted of it. The rifle, the Master Pro, certainly performed well in the field lads and I agree with all that Tim, ( Charlie Caller) is saying about the Walther rifles LGU and LGV, in .177. Yep a thou

Compliments John , Nice shooting

My Dad loved second hand shops and antique shops, - I fecking hated them ! I was 9 yrs old on holiday at Blackpool, I was begging to go to the fair and he had me, my beloved uncle Wally, aunty Peggy and my Mum in fecking junk shops when I spotted a Milbro G something pistol - within seconds it was bagged and mine "IF" I shut up. Well my mate Paul had a Gat and we went hunting. Pauls Gat would just about take a sparrow at 5 yds ( early 1970`s) that Milbro just bounced off . I came home from school a few weeks aft

Am I becoming a little bit of an inspiration to Mitch boys - why else would he be following me, eh ? heh! heh! atb Mark.

Well lads, out again and not a movement in nigh on 3 hours. I`m a patient sort "ish" By the time 2 hours had elapsed I was making use of the time and spent a good hour plinking, setting a final click on the scope and giving myself all sorts of differing scenarios to shoot at. Just loved being in the field, giving Kaiser blind retrieves and seen retrieves to command, - great fun , after " all these years", I just loved it ! atb Mark.
