I forgot your Des O`Conner record James, " PRETEND" it always works a treat.

A two hour wait for a single shot tells me the rabbit numbers are well controlled now. I took the HW 100 KT .177 as pest control was the order of the day. The accuracy of the 100`s never ceases to amaze me, simply " clinical" Gave my mate a treat for his good work this week, - he knows he`s worked well when this happens. Freshly, well fried rabbit liver, must admit, it`s delicious sorry Kaiser atb Mark.

Nice shooting Nathen.

Well lads, I`m not sure what`s going on yet ? As you know, I was taking some excellent bags last year. Not a bird to be seen this year ? The pigeons have found food elsewhere I think . Nothing I can do about it, sadly, other than hope they return. Ah well. atb Mark.

Nice shooting Robo. Ditto to Jimmy, those rifles take some beating. atb Mark.

Good shooting Phil With a proper rifle.

The LGV Master Pro, break barrel version if it helps. I did not like the router mark left on the stock for those of us that chose not to have open sights . If however you pay extra to carry the open sights, this router cut becomes unseen as it accommodates the use of the rear sight. Regardless of the router cut the gun was extremely smooth to shoot but the trigger was poor although she shot well and accurate on her first hunting session. On a personal note I would put the TX 200, Pro Sport, HW 97K ahead of the Master Pro

Bonny rabbits, they are. Nice shooting and field craft John

Proud tonight, we came 3rd, regardless. After we get Belgium. Our lads did us proud ! atb Mark. ???????

Yes Phill, all the time mate but I`ve never used pop up hides. Here`s a typical natural hide with a little netting involved. I hear your shooting abilities have improved greatly Jimmy since you came to mine for your lessons.

The only way to better shooting a Magpie is to shoot two . Nice shooting Nathan atb Mark

Shooting John . You`re getting out mate,

Nearly had my first blanc with the HW 100 KT .177 tonight. Where are all the Wood Pigeons ? In the trees on one of my other permissions just 500 yds away watching Steve cut his crops " LLLLLLLETS GET READY TO RUUUUUUMBLE " !!! Very tempted to shoot just spring rifles on the de

Jimmy, get them delivered to your door at a far better price than the RFD by Voymir. I order in batches of 5,000. A bulk order with the same batch number helps your zero no end too atb Mark

Nice shooting lads Nice write up too. Thought you would have had a white, knotted hanky to go with the " Englishman`s vest" Jimmy. The rat tale had me giggling away.

After shooting this rabbit tonight there were no more presentations for well over an hour. So I thought I would make good use of the time and spent an hour calibrating my rifle and scope combination. Just the far calibration tonight but a very accurate one on this warm, still night. She`s zeroed to 28 yards and I calibrated her out to 50 yards. You know me lads, I don`t like to shoot sub 12 further than 35- 40 yards but the need might be required and took her to 50yards with ease.

Bought a Hawke SF30 6-24 x 50 scope of Jimmy ( Big Mac 97kt) placed it onto my HW 100 KS .22. All zeroed up took this bad girl out to the Nursery permission. Just the one presentation this evening but took it at a lased 32 yards. Her zero is very sharp indeed Here`s my best mate, Kaiser retrieving to hand. The new combination, proving a very slick set up. atb Mark

Don`t forget the "golden rule" JB - Accuracy always trumps power.
-
Yes, definitely so but here starts the realm of the deadly PCP, as to cock a spring rifle for a second shot, so close, is rare . atb Mark.

35 yards or less gives me the " Air Gun Hunter`s Satisfaction" Far more skill required.
-
The rifles of yesteryear like the Air Sporter, FWB Sport, HW 35, etc, etc, were and are very good guns for accuracy but what did let them down badly was the pellets we all used. My FWB sisters, using modern day JSB`s are laser accurate.

Naar, drinking wine makes you complacent and lazy.
-
Just my opinion. A well educated spring rifle hunter who goes over to permanently shoot pcp " will forget how to swim" if you get my drift. I sit back and watch these lads at the ranges and they genuinely become complacent and lazy in their shooting styles and techniques. Give them a spring rifle and they try to excuse their way out of shooting one and when they do eventually shoot it, they always make excuses for the poor results. For me,- always shoot both
-
I agree lads, don`t get me wrong. I do find another side to spring rifle shooting, however, in that after shooting the spring rifles continuously, for say, a month or two, that when I revert back to the PCP`s my accuracy and results with a PCP are " greatly improved". " Never the other way round". Personally, I think it pays dividends, to hunt with both. Each to their own atb Mark.
