Well lads, both myself and Kaiser were climbing the walls to get out. I put some practice/ training sessions in again during the evenings last week, as you know and took the Pro Sport out tonight. Not sure if you lads have noticed but i am thoroughly enjoying the spring rifles/ hunting of late. Well, just the two presentations tonight, they were both taken very cleanly, one was a side on heart/ lung, the other was through the shoulder blades, (if you will) at 38yds and 41 yds. Both were instant

Superb shooting lads. Compliments to you all. atb Mark.

Go on Simon, - you can tell us . Did ya buy the SS uniform too L & R on your wellies ? Stick on tash If you miss when hunting, never stand up from the undergrowth shouting " Swine Hunt" !!! - with ya helmet on ! Couldn`t resist the giggle mate - no doubt you`ll get me back . Joking aside, 11.6 ft/lbs with one hole groups is seriously good but hey, Diana make very good quality guns. Enjoy the Mauser mate, it`ll be interesting to see

I once put this question out str to a couple of forums as well as this one and the general consensus was - " whatever is left in the rifle". atb Mark.

He say, what`s he say ?
-
Oh no he would`nt . I fecking adore that classic, full length 77 Jimmy.

Nice shooting Jimmy/ Sean. How long have i been telling you about the HW 97`s in .177 cal Jimmy ? atb Mark
-
Compliments Mitch, great shooting.

Exactly Jeff, the foxes are never away once they pick up on guts regularly being left for them. Geoff` the head keeper in my youth always taught me to take rabbits in their entirety and leave nothing behind when shooting rabbits for the table. If, however, you are on rabbit control over some land, then yes field dress the rabbits as the fox fast becomes your ally in your quest to control rabbit numbers but you`ll have foxes forever and a day doing this and far less rabbits. Your choice ?
-
Shoot `em,wee them out hang them up to grow cold and de-flea a lot. Bag up. Take the rabbit home, guts an`all as i don`t want to train foxes to look for free meals on my rabbit perms. Prepare rabbits after close inspection of the internals, wash them well, dry them, then wrap and freeze.

Hell of a purchase from Simon, Pianoman, - i got on very, very well with this rifle but the Hawke Endurance, with the German L4 reticle is a deadly combination with the HW 97 in .177 cal only ( no mill dots mind ). -

What i was trying to put over to the lads Jimmy, is that if i pick up and shoot those rifles again tomorrow, there would surely be a slightly different result and the only difference between these top spring rifles is the person shooting them, " on the day" " Twat" -
What head size are you using Jonny ? I`ve got 3,000 in 4.50, 8.64g and they are extremely accurate in my old, classic 77.
-
Well lads, i`ve just given my spring rifles a match off, i`ve left the FWB Sport rifles out for now as they are not scoped up. All rifles were shot from cold, with no prior practice today. All the rifles shoot far better than i do but for me, the only difference between these rifles is personal preference . I`ve put a Puffer group in there to show that spring rifles are every bit as accurate if you do your bit. atb Mark.

Any pictures Sean ? -
Very, very nearly took the Pro Sport out tonight but opted for the HW 100 KT .177. as i have not shot pcp in weeks. Got to the copse and sat down for 6-30 pm. For 7-45 pm all i had seen was two mating hawks. First and only presentation was taken at at 41 yds lased. ( between the shoulder blades, instant dispatch) What a beautiful evening out again lads. atb Mark.

Went on holiday 40+ years ago to Bodfari, Wales, to my best mate`s Nine,( Welsh for Grandmother). Sat there watching telly, as you do and a knock came on the door,- she was offered a large Hare, just shot, she took it, paid the man and guess what was for tea the next day. Well we sat down to tea,i tucked in and i feckin recoiled with the taste of that Hare, " feckin horrible" ! I`ve never, ever, tried it since. Enjoy Robo p.s. good shooting mate. -
Top shooting lads atb Mark. p.s. well done with the hedgehog

Another detectorist eh. That Minelab of mine has not seen daylight in over 4 years but boy did i find some stuff with her Phill. I might just get her out shortly, i`ve been into metal detecting for well over 40 years, my first detector was a Viking and then a C Scope, Whites, Mine Lab etc.

45 yrs old ? Are you sure ? I could lay that amount of block in one hour with a gay scaffold like that. Here you go, this is work, rock hard roofers work. Roof, stripped, span flex laid, battens laid, 1500 tile laid dry verge installed, ridge tiles laid - finished in 3 days, front and back. I didn`t see any sign of rain when finishing the ridges Si.

Happy birthday Si. Keep taking those blue pills Mac`s been giving you. atb Mark.
