Yes mate, I believe I said that, - I do agree that PCP`s, as lifeless as they are, are very productive in pest control. atb, Mark.

I don`t agree lads and I shoot 5 spring rifles over 2 puffers. I strongly believe puffers are a "pretend marksman`s tool" bye passing all the building of shot requirements but yes, I do agree that pcp`s, lifeless as they are, are very productive in pest control. Here`s a 41 year old classic springer, a FWB Sport .177 at work.- All original. Here`s a HW 100 KT .177 at work, both last decoying season, ( about now). Which session did I prefer ? Spring rifle by a country mile, I had to be completely

Lovely looking rifle. If it`s to be going hunting, I`d cover all that " bling" up with a little camo`, or the quarry will spot you coming from 10 acres away. Nice rifle indeed. -
To put a drop in kit, or not !!
mark williams replied to Dean 4546's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Hi Dean, I own the 97K , bought recently from a friend on this forum. It has had a strip, polish Sandwell Field Sports delrin kit installed and a Sandwell spring installed plus correctly lubed. When I put a .177 express pellet on the scope turret and fire a shot off, the turret pellet hardly moves and always stays on the turret. The rifle, using JSB Exact Express 4.52, 7.87 g is supremely accurate. If you are happy with the rifle`s performance Dean, I would leave her well alone. Here`s -
Chuck `em in`th bin lad Joking aside Jonny b do consider trying the JSB Exact Express 4.52, 7.87 g, "boy do they go well in a T Rex".

Bought a Hawke Airmax 30 SF 6-24x50 off Big Mac
mark williams replied to mark williams's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Remember the old style Mamba 4-16x50 scb reticule ( Christmas tree reticule) I bought from Sean Jimmy ? My eyes aren`t getting any younger either mate Now that reticule is very good for the dark hours, very good indeed. I`m also having good results with Pianoman (Simon`s) previous scope using the L4A Dot, in daylight hours. atb Mark. -
Quick wander with new R10 and Verminator
mark williams replied to Benn McIntyre's topic in Airgun Hunting
Shooting Benn . Ditto to Jimmy`s reply, that`s a beautiful stock on the R10 atb Mark -
Compliments Si, Nice shooting,

Buy cheap, " buy twice", raise the bar some STR, it will definitely benefit you to do so. Good luck with your choices, although an eighty or 77 takes a lot of bettering. atb Mark.

Yes mate I know. Trouble is, I`m having a ball with the KT .177/ AA Fields combination for nearly 5 years now and I am loathe to changing with the 100,- " just yet" My compliments though with the advice you gave me over FAPS and JSB Exact Express in " all" my other rifles atb Mark.

Took delivery of a Hawke Airmax SF 30 6-24X 50 today and mounted her to the HW 100 KS .22 Here`s the superbly wrapped parcel just landed. So after un- wrapping - here she is being set over the HW 100 KS .22. I`ll be using this set up for ambush/ static hunting and I`m wanting every ounce of weight I can get, so I went about loading her with the sun shade and side focus wheel. Set her to perfection with gun spirit level and plumb line. So now I`m ready to set a serious zero.

AA Fields 8.4g, 4.52. RB

Try these RB. VM put me onto them and I`ve used them ever since with all my .177 rifles bar my 100 KT.

When I first took on this permission the nursery was losing up to £150/£200 per month in lost or damaged plants and ground repairs. Today they are paying between £10 to £15 / month, so you can certainly understand the " school of thought", all rabbits to be taken.

16,000 acre permission in the Lake District.
mark williams replied to mark williams's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Errrm, wasn`t FTM ( Billy) country -like but yeah, I found some rabbit numbers, - more than one yer fecker Five days of bliss mate, loved it -
Had a nice couple of hours tonight just nipping the rabbit numbers again. The nursery is adamant all rabbits, whatever the size , are to be shot. Same goes for wood pigeons.

Shooting John. As per.

Nice shooting Mitch . The sub 12ft/lb rifles, ( for me), will " test you". To hunt with a sub 12 air rifle is a specialised form of hunting, an art in itself. The power limit we suffer and range limitations we suffer, requires a lot of field craft to remove this burden as best we can. Getting to within 30/35 yards of your quarry is an art and to camouflage your movements is an art also. Just the movement of a finger, a foot, an arm or head, etc, will alert your quarry.

new springer advice
mark williams replied to gwalchmai4110's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
The HW 99 is a great choice but you`ll want a decent scope and good mounts which will take you over £300-£350 I`d have thought ? There is however a very good gun, that "ticks" all of your boxes GW . Consider a Remington Express, £159-95 including a 4x32 scope and mounts Has nylon spring guide, lubed correctly, achieves 11.8 ft/lbs and produces 1/4 inch sized groups at 35 yards. Pellets recommended are AA Fields and Daystate Range Master. Auto safety, smooth breech lock up, amb -
Well, thought I would share this with you lads. Here`s the farm house, we stayed on, in beautiful grounds aside of it. 16,000 acres of permission Rabbits everywhere. Gave the farmer`s 36 yr old daughter a right good "seeing to" as well "THEN" - I fecking woke up from my cider induced deep sleep --- "Twaaaat" ! Here`s Kaiser on tour. atb Mark.

Nice one MT Please let me know how your FWB`s fare with the V Mach kits - don`t forget mate.

The wood pigeons are starting to show and land in and amongst the crops. I`m wanting to beat my personal best of 72, in one sitting, with a spring rifle this year. Here`s one of my permissions, I`ve been nowhere near it for a month and things are lively but settled. The point of this flight pond is dense in cover and I`m seriously considering setting my ambush point and half wheel decoy pattern there to the front of it. The pigeons have a flight line following the pylons behind and are peeling o

Nice shooting Jimmy You certainly are enjoying the spring rifles again aren`t you. I`m glad you listened to me about the HW97`s and bought one atb Mark.
