  1. Well you are doing a good job on the Greys Mitch - nice shooting . A good question by Jonjon i think, - what do any of us do with our bags of vermin ? I`m with Mitch on the fried squirrel aspect. For me there is nothing out there to even compare to deep fried Squirrel. Again, nice shooting Mitch.
  2. Nice write up and nice shooting Nathan. Love seeing your dog out with you. atb Mark.
  3. Well here`s my first ever effort. A very large Buzzard on his rounds with the wood pigeons on his mind.
  4. Nice shot placement Mitch and great picture atb Mark.
  5. View Advert Lofting poles/ decoys I`m looking for some lofting poles and pigeon decoys please. Advertiser mark williams Date 25/11/18 Price Category Miscellaneous
  6. Took the old lady out today to a sitty tree i`ve shot over for a few years. The 1986 HW77 was flawless. Four presentations and she took the lot. I checked zero before going out and checked zero on arrival, i had to allow 1/2 mill dot left to right today as there was a slight prevailing wind. Range is 38 yards. Here`s my poser. Retrieval to hand of the squirrel. After a working day. atb Mark.
  7. Just going out with the HW77 this morning to try and get a wood pigeon or two. After their 1st feed of the day i normally see some coming into the sitty tree for about 11am. Wish me luck atb Mark.
  8. I`ll be staying with lead. I was given some lead free by my RFD and he said, - Tell me what you think of these Mark, with a wry smirk on his face. By the 5th pellet they were in the bin. You say you are using the HW 77 in .177 cal Webster ? Try JSB Exact Express 4.52, 7.87 g through her. Outstanding pellet with the HW 77. atb Mark.
  9. Some of my mates inc` the RFD Steve were down the range last year with one. It shot 10.8 ft/lbs with AA Fields 8.4g , 4.52. Also shot 1p groups at 35 yds indoors, - very good rifle for the money. Steve has sold a good few of these and no come backs to my knowledge. Enjoy BC
  10. You`ve a good memory Jon. For Limpets, approach without touching them or making vibration of any kind on the rocks they are attached to. A good sized, smooth pebble about the size of a bread cob and strike with a sideways on blow, - not too hard and off they come. If the other limpets feel threatened by the noise and vibration and clamp down hard, just move on to other rocks and start again. Not sure about other fishing lads but Limpets are crap to eat. atb Mark.
  11. I own an early HW 77 mk2 long rifle with a stage 2 Sandwell F S tune. That rifle is going nowhere, they are stunning to own and hunt with. You`ll regret selling yours FD, i`d keep hold of her if i was you mate. atb Mark.
  12. Virtually free, lovely strong wine. On the last glass or two tonight. If you love the countryside you should use it as well as look after it atb Mark.
  13. Hi Rez, I`m 50/50 on whether to send my 97 to Tony at Sandwell Field Sports. The classic, full length 77 i own has a stage 2 Sandwell tune to her and the difference between the two rifles is very noticeable . They are both as accurate as each other but to shoot, one is a Ford Fiesta to the other a BMW Sports.
  14. Imagine selling and sending an expensive rifle to someone that lands damaged with no insurance or comeback for the sake of £20 extra at worst . I`m seriously thinking of sending a spring rifle away but i`ll go through Macavoy guns to send and receive it.
  15. Not sure but your local RFD would surely act on your behalf in sending a rifle to another RFD. No way would i send a rifle of mine through the post if i could help it. I`ve received two rifles without any problem but i don`t fancy sending at all.
  16. These are a good alternative - 1978 FWB Sport and 1/8th of the cost of an Impact. Only saying like.
  17. Lovely write up and shooting Si . atb Mark.
  18. I was watching Hot Air on you tube the other night and the Impact was under discussion. Lloyd, from Blackpool Air Rifles was saying that he has ceased selling FX as they were getting all sorts of complaints over the Impact. One of the biggest complaints is that the Impact was breaking down repeatedly on any one of 16 seals that it carries. atb Mark
  19. First blood for the Impact Jimmy ? Good luck atb Mark.
  20. Oops, i`d forgotten and probably a few more ? Just pulling their legs, as i`m sure you can tell . Hope you sort it. atb Mark
  21. Oops, not quite Phil but thanks. No silicone Daz but Brunox turbo gun oil spray or lately Huile Parker Hale express gun oil ( very light lubricating oil)
  22. Nice shooting John atb Mark.
  23. Ditto to all previous advice Daz Mitch put me onto the JSB Exact Express 4.52, 7.87 g, which i now use in ALL my .177 rifles bar the HW 100 KT .177. The only reason i still use Air Arms Fields 4.52, 8.4g in the HW 100 KT is that i don`t want to break the results i`ve had over the years. I find that the Falcon Accuracy Plus pellets in the HW 100 KS .22 are deadly, again a pellet recommended to me by Mitch. Do remember Daz to put an empty magazine from the 100`s at arms length and give the loading side a light s
