Hi Taffy, I own and hunt regularly with the HW 97 KT but she is .177, - what rifles these are For any lads with .177 HW 97 KT`s use JSB Exact Express 7.87 g, 4.52 zero to 38 yds. At a guess Taffy if there is a .22 Exact Express try them first in a 97. Now i would suggest setting your .22 zero at 27 yds dead, this will give you no hold under required and keep your pellet within a 1 inch kill zone from 8yds to 31 yds, just what you are looking for. Air arms galhad
mark williams replied to Dazzer2018's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Not the first choice on a hunting lads shopping list to be fair. Air Arms - i`d go Ultimate Sporter, regulated. PCP, i`d still go HW 100 in any format and i cant see my opinion on that changing for a long time. Good luck Dazzer Mark. -
Air arms pro sport any good ?

Absolutely superb rifles. Once you have learned their ways it`s hard to miss. atb Mark. -
The Sport scopes were taken off market for just that reason. Great value for money scope. Great scope on the HW 100 KS .22. Welcome home S-A-M. atb Mark.

Any of the calibers will do the job if you do yours and make sure all your shots hit the kill zones. I tend to only ever use head shot, side on heart/ lung shot or the between the shoulder blades shot ( if you will). atb Mark.

The carbine ( shorter rifle) is far easier to use in hides etc than a full length 100. I use both HW 100 KS .22 and HW 100 KT .177 as most of my air rifle hunting is hide work and ambush tactics. With the shot count i generally keep to four mag`s of 14, or 56 shots of perfection with the .177 KT. With the KS .22 i stick with 5 mags tops. Very rare,if ever, other than pigeon decoying, will i ever need to refill with air.

Just a nice, lazy stroll around one of the farms this morning. To windy today for my usual air gun hunting so took the 687 Sporter 12`s out. Beautiful corvid the Jay but a right menace this last year on this farm but finally i am in charge of their numbers now as i am with the Magpies and grey squirrels. The game bird numbers are getting far, far better. atb Mark.

All that RFD of Sean`s had to do was after the attempted repair instead of sending the Impact back straight away, was to simply mark the 250 bar on the rifle`s pressure guage and keep the rifle for a set period to make sure there is no further leaking. My RFD does this with all and every pcp repair and therefore covers himself for any mistakes and looking poor. I agree with Mitch but the above works very well should they adopt the method. atb, Mark.

Well, the Impact is christened. Bonny sized rabbit too Jimmy Ethan has lost the " Little Hunter" look mate , i think Ethan will do just fine. Well done lads, Mark.
-
Neither mate, just drooling over it`s build quality and wondered if any of the lads use one ?

One of these Ripley Elite rifles is up for sale in .177 cal at my RFD`s shop, beautiful looking rifle. No regulator, no pressure gauge but big reputation. Your thoughts lads please, anyone own one, or shot one ? atb Mark

.25 in 12 pfe for jackdaw??
mark williams replied to dutchjozef's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Any calibre hitting these vitals is "Good night Vienna". Put some serious range time in with a sub 12 ft/lb .25 Jozef as the trajectory must be like throwing a house brick, under arm. Good luck. -
As per Billy , nice shooting Cracking photo too atb Mark.

Nice bag, nice shooting Nathan. atb Mark.
-
That`s bloody awful .
-
Fecking ditto !

Remember the Lennox Lewis v Evander Holyfield first fight and the result ? Both British fighters won on Cheating American soil. Fury won, no question about it. Mark.
-
The .177 cal, for me, is the most proficient at 12 ft/lbs level by a country mile. atb Mark.

Mamba scopes Jimmy ? The older SCB ret` ? The most deadly air rifle scope ever made (for me) . They are getting to be most wanted today. Good find mate, atb Mark

Wh100 177 problems
mark williams replied to Dazzer2018's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
The only time i clean one of my rifles barrels is when changing pellet brand, otherwise i don`t ever clean a leaded in barrel, or change pellet brand when totally happy with the pellet / rifle combination in use. My friends both RFD`s agree with this, if this helps any. -
No more blank nights now, or excuses. You have the gear and the right idea. "Let the force be with you" ! atb Iceman. X
