  1. Thanks Matt, A lovely calm day today, so i thought it rude not to put the HW 97K into the competition also ( Pianoman`s ex 97K). The German L4 reticle ( cross hairs and red dot) on the Hawke Endurance is deadly accurate, i love them. Yet to test the other rifles, as those three just tested, are my modern spring rifles. Classics next. atb Mark.
  2. Well i gave these two another shoot off between themselves on the new range at home. I still can`t split them The T Rex carries a full Rat Works tune. The Pro Sport is completely untouched. Both rifles put a 12 shot group inside a 5p piece. atb Mark.
  3. The German L4 reticle post, cross hair with a red dot is a fantastic reticle for both target and hunting with the .177 cal . I use the Hawke Endurance with that reticle on my HW 97 K .177, very, very accurate set up. The red dot sights mentioned are a bag of $hit to be honest.
  4. As per lads, Nice shooting atb Mark.
  5. Just for every day reference, in all the years i`ve been shooting i`ve never had a bad Hawke, or Mamba scope, sat in the clasp of Sports Match scope mounts. atb Mark.
  6. Hi RD, Simon, ( Pianoman ) is a very knowledgeable person, to say the least, with spring powered rifles. Santa brought me some targets, etc for Christmas and the first gun i wanted to test was the Pro Sport .177, walnut. Forgive me re-posting this picture lads. RD, Simon sings the praises of the accuracy this spring rifle is capable of - My original zero was 2 clicks too high,- shot between the squirrels ears twice, i re-set, shot for the eye and got it.
  7. When numbers are down i will not take any rabbits as i want to see a shoot controlled, not decimated. As you know Jon, it does not take long for rabbits to make a comeback, given a little help. My photography is at fault One, there are plenty of very dense areas that are as much as 15 - 20ft below the ground level of the fields. The occasional woodcock, pheasant, duck are here, plenty of rabbit , squirrel activity.
  8. Do the fly fishermen give any demand for Jay wings one ?
  9. Merry Christmas lads ! A tuned trap for you atb Mark.
  10. Did you ever see that video of him taking a rabbit`s jacket off without a knife and gutting it firstly without a knife ? p.s. What ever happened to that Dr B and that Milageo fella ??
  11. Compliments Mitch . That one up the tree is a brilliant photo,- proper lights out. atb Mark.
  12. Thanks lads, my school of thought was to find a good shooting spot and put a good feeder there allowing the Greys to find the food like they will find any other source. When i am sure they are feeding, then build a natural hide accordingly.
  13. Well lads, i`ve decided to join in ideas with you lads that put up feeders for Greys. I`ve never bothered putting feeders out in the past and just try to take any presentations as and when i see them. This permission has an old disused rail track from long ago running through it, all gone back to woodland, some 40 yds wide plus to approx 1 mile long. No gun this morning, just camera, so here`s a glimpse of this ground for you. Kaiser is marking used rabbit runs for me. Here`s the marked run should i want to pl
  14. Here you go Phil, worth every single penny of £25 and £5 delivery- fully adjustable up to 6ft 6inch by the look of it and on windy days those legs will widen right out. Absolute bargain in my opinion for sub 12 ft/lbs. Don`t do a Jim, ( Rimfireboy), on it though. FFKS Jim ! Should be a one hole group you twat !
  15. That Nighthawk air rifle/ pistol target holder is fully adjustable, very strong steel tube and folds right down easily Jimmy, great value for money. This came from Outdoor Value, Morton Peto Rd, Great Yarmouth, NR310LT. Shooting indoors will never, ever allow someone to learn how to shoot with the wind, you made a good decision money wise as well. I`m so glad i listened to you mate, i would never let my Walnut Pro Sport go, they are deadly to small game. atb Mark.
  16. Here`s a tune and a Sandwell Field Sport kit installed into my HW 97K .177 Practice beats all tuning but a well tuned gun in well practiced hands takes a hell of a lot of bettering. Good luck with your choices, Mark.
  17. Here is a stage 2 tune on an old HW77 full length ,177 by Sandwell Field Sports.
  18. Not sure about others but my Christmas has been rush, rush throughout, today included. Managed to nick a whole 30 min`s to myself this afternoon and gave a session to my Pro Sport on the target air cards. Boy are they trying, the squirrel target only being the size of a bloody mouse to start with. The untouched Pro Sport .177 was carrying a fair zero but these targets don`t half sharpen your zero up lads, a must have bit of kit now. Here`s the target stand again, very strong and rigid. Take in the size of the squirrel targ
  19. Look forward to some Squirrel shots Phill , if you look at the first photo on your post, my wife bought 100 Target Air squirrel targets . atb Phil

  21. Maths teacher says to little Johnny, Johnny how many sweets have you got there ? Five miss, came the reply. Johnny, if i was to ask you to give one of your sweets to young Abdul, how many sweets would you have left ? Five miss ! atb Mark.
  22. You bought the same one as me ? atb Mark.
