Yes Phill, i prefer to go heart/ lung sideways on, head, neck face on but absolutely no movement before the shot. My GSP is on them instantly if required after command. atb Mark. -

One of those FAC FX Impacts mate,- to keep my door open. " Well you did ask" -
I`ve been buying pellets in bulk order for a few years now, they all arrive, 5000 a time, carrying the same batch number, all made by the same dye/ cast, rather than differing batches. Not sure if any of you lads weigh your pellets, ( i don`t ) but i read a very interesting article about a pretty thorough chap, new to Hunter Field Target disciplines. He weighed all 500 JSB Exacts with a nominal weight of 8.44g. Weight. ( grain ) Quantity.

What caliber is it ?

Finally got a little paper work together with the old lady of 1978. The modern Genesis scope sits beautifully and gives a lovely crisp, clear view. The FWB Sport is no pcp and takes some learning of their characteristics/ hold sensitivety. Here`s the 124 carrying the Genesis UL scope . Here`s her first zero on a 5p target at 38 yds. Two or three clicks left should do it on the final zero. Here`s the FWB Sport 127 ( .22) at work on the squirrels. She`s ca

The HW 100`s, in any format Jimmy, you`ve heard it over and over again from the lads . With your night shooting Jimmy and dislike of the thumb hole stocks, i would lean towards a .177 KS or full length . Taking nothing away from the Impact but at sub 12 level all you hear is HW 100 at FAC level you hear Impact . Best i can say is after nearly 8 yrs of faultless, HW 100 hunting, for me- " Nothing beats it" at sub 12 level and a hell of a lot less expense. Go

Similar age to you Jimmy and i too shot .22 cal up until 7 years ago. Now, as you know, all my rifles bar two are .177 and the .22`s are shot using lightweight FAP`s. Mate, i`d go .177 with your new FX Impact with all the night shooting you do If you want, rather than need .22 characteristics just use heavy .177 pellets. Just my humble opinion. atb Mark.

Keep with her age LL, no custom stocks. I shoot an old classic 1984 HW 77, .177 full length that i bought from Jimmy ( Big Mac ) and i just love the restored stock etc that he did. Here you go, Show her off for what she is LL is my humble opinion. Good luck.

You pay a small fee, something like £5. Phil go to the very top right of this page and type in Donator to the search engine, you`ll get all the info` that way mate. atb Mark.

You need to be a donator to THL Phil. atb Mark.

Well i`ve mounted an MTC Genesis ultra light onto the FWB Sport 124. A lovely, full power hunter for walk about sessions weighing in at about 8 lbs. Here`s the old lady having Sports Match Mounts and Genesis UL fitted and leveled with a scope level. ( no cant ). She`s set to a nice clear eye relief for me, this scope comes up beautifully and fast on the FWB Sport Next is the zeroing, hope the scope goes as well as it`s set up did. atb Mark.

Maybe my eyes are better than i thought Phil . I don`t seem to be bothered with the fine reticule, same as when shooting my mate`s HW 97 and Genesis at the club. Aim small within small gave me some very nice, groups with it. 1st refusal on the old Mamba if possible Phil, i`m not sure if you use it ? atb Mark. -
just bought a nice tx200 hunter carbine 22

Your shot looks to be perfect Mitch. Compliments mate.

Jimmy, do you ever apply bees wax or similar after you have oiled your stock ? Main reason i ask mate is the HW 77 i bought from you ? Should i just keep on top with the Walnut oil every once in a while ? atb Mark. P.S Great choice Ry What caliber is it ?

Exactly Jimmy As much as i try, you have to shoot them first or you`ve no chance of freezing them. atb The Iceman

Glad to see you out, enjoying again Jimmy. I own 2 shot guns lads and they hardly see the light of day, - no skill required. ( for me). I own 8 sub 12ft/lb air rifles, 6 of which are spring rifles, 2 are HW 100`s. My spring rifles see "far more" field work than my pcp`s do. Why ? - because all the skill and field craft, ( for me ) is with sub 12 ft/lbs spring rifles. I mean just look how much better you and Jimmy are since coming down to mine for your shoo
