    The more i see these rifles, the more they remind me of the standard issue Star Wars, federation rifle. So, lads, - i rang FX up and explained a few lads i know have bought them in both sub 12 and FAC and can they tell me what`s the big deal about an FX Impact ? First thing they said was " Who`s bought one of them" ? honestly, you could hear them giggling away in the background I said, as far as i know, Pav ( Alan), Phil Pot, Villaman ( Mitch) and Big Mac ( Jimmy), - well they were in hysterics by now ?

    Well that wonderful time of year is back for air gun hunters,- no leaves. All the trimming done again and my first natural hide is prepared and ready to go once more. With that done i decided to put the HW 97K .177 to the test on 5p targets at 38 yds, ( rabbit`s eye). A total of 30 shots taken, one fatal flyer. Hold a 5p coin up lads and compare what this spring rifle is capable of and in a good breeze to. Here`s my HW 97K .177, recently bought from Simon, ( Pianoman) Great

    Great shooting Robo . What cal` and muzzle energy is your 97 mate ? I was on the paper targets with my 97 .177 cal yesterday afternoon in preparation of sitty tree work . Autumn now in England, ( no leaves on the trees ) atb Mark.

    Hi Phil, Here`s an 8 shot group with AA Fields 4.52, 8.4 g at 36 yards with the HW 100 kt .177. A big tip for you Phil, with the 100`s A light spray of gun oil, at arms length every 5 or 6 empty mags ( to the rear of the mag`), considerably improves group sizes with the Fields . Also note that this 100 barrel has only shot AA Fields 4.52, 8.4g exclusively for nearly 5 years without being cleaned. atb Mark

    I`ve only just started to boil down surplus pigeon breasts/ rabbit, mixed with a little veg, pasta for my GSP. I get a token payment of 30p per pigeon from a local bird of prey centre but when you take into account the price of dog food i`m getting at least 60p- 90p per bird, saved, by making good dog food. By the reactions of Kaiser at feed time, he knows the home made food is being served compared to the commercial stuff in a can. He is thriving on the shot game and absolutely no weight gain or loss. atb

    Brocock Contour Super 6. Weighs 4 lbs unscoped, has a shot count of around 21 perfect shots at a start of 185 bar. As you say, when hunting, when did you last take 21 presentations ? The accuracy of these little gems is through the roof by the way. Good luck with your decisions LC, atb Mark.

    I always give a bottle of whisky to each permission, i have 4 permissions. A lot of lads don`t agree with giving a bottle etc, as they are providing a much needed service already,- each to their own i suppose. atb Mark.

    Hi Nathan, Yes Grey partridges mate, i have 10 birds about the permission and i`m trying to help them as best i can by shooting any corvids i come across. Partridge numbers are poor all over the country, so they need as much help as we can give them. atb Mark.

    Lovely walk about this afternoon with the Beretta 687 sport and my GSP. My best mate lifted one covey of partridges, a couple of pheasants and a single hare. I took no shots lads, as i am trying to promote the game numbers but not one vermin presentation, - a good thing when you think about it i suppose. Great walk about all the same. atb Mark.

    Don`t go .22 sub 12 for night time shooting Jimmy .177 is far more forgiving on range error. Nice scope mate .

    Still seeing Magpies around the yards and barns. Anyway, one less, a 43 yard shot off the side of the tractor and between it`s shoulder blades if you will. Just crumpled, instant dispatch. atb Mark

    Less of the Manc !! I don`t care what you buy and shoot Mitch, or take the pith out of them . Honest. No i would never buy an Impact . Can you get Virgin or Sky Sports on `em ? These are very productive at night , no batteries required, you should try some and only cost pennies to make. Only saying like.
