Yes bud, pcp. think that was 7 shots, the first two or three were to get zero on another target. sitting in my garden chair ? Yes mate, he wants a new gun, I need to thin mine down a bit, he also needs to get more experience with as many rifles as possible to see what he likes and suits him, I don't care if he wants it or not, he is working through my rifles and getting a feel of things, so that's all good experience. Not for me, I used my mates and didn't particularly like it, he loved it mind, but got bored of that as well and sold it. Not really that

Agreed, but not all of them go straight in for the fight, if your bringing a gun dog on do you take it out on a shoot for it's very first outing, or do you start softly and do recall and retrieve work first ? And you think his first ever fight Was with a title belt holder I suppose, it's called training.

I'm not arguing that, in fairness most of them are, just lucky I happened to get a very good one at a decent price, hell I've paid a lot more for some of my scopes than I paid for this gun.

Yeah, I would probably move the sheds whilst I was at it, make the day a bit more worthwhile for all of us, would need to be fair dry for that though, far too wet to even get a track machine near them. May be easier to let me know when your free, so long as it's fair dry we can work around to suit, all I need is to get the new hedge planted before spring really kicks in,end of Feb really. I think one dog would be ok, I've got a farm mutt who has got the hang of catching and killing squirrels, so think he would be ok on rats now as well.
-
No, agreed I doubt they would be going out particularly for one breed, but if they happened across spaniels, what better. my gut instinct would be with the above though, breeding.
-
The one thing your all forgetting, dog fighting does still happen, there is some big money in it, granted it's not as widespread as made out, but don't you think those dogs need practise, wouldyou train them on a killer dog or a soft pooch ?

Well, I would quite like to see someone walk out my local after lifting a gun on shoot day, the place is wall to wall with guns, beaters, picker uppers, keepers, farmers, everyone is involved in the shoot, it's a proper local pub, everyone knows everyone, I would say 40 or 50 pairs of eyes is pretty secure, wouldn't you, were not talking about a town centre pub with strangers everywhere, at least not on any of the shoots I have been involved with.

Live rabbits for rabbit pen (Gundog training)

So, out of interest, what do you reckon to be paying for them. -
WithIn the next month ideally mate. bit of a trek for you, it's about a 20 yard hedge, 30 ish holes I guess.

Give us a title to search, I wanna have a look at it

The biz mags don't half hit with a wallop, but I've never had great results from accuracy, in .22 (my flavour) I just find them a bit too heavy. those results speak for themselves though, have you tried them at different range yet, see if you have a lot of hold for them. I don't recall ever seeing that nipple on the ones I have tried.

Be careful, be very careful, I have more than two pics on my iPad ???????????

The fella I bought this off was a mug to let it go, he even admitted that, he also had an airwolf mct that was on the money, but was a grurt big bulky thing for my liking. Cheers, must admit, I've seen a couple of daystates that are incredibly accurate out the box and never played up, but I've tried several that were totally shocking and I wouldn't use them as a cricket bat.

I dont need to remember what they were, I have a Mrs for that stuff ! I know where to go get them if needed and that's all that matters to me

Had a fella round today from off here, I wanted him to have a try with one of my guns to see how he liked it. Well it certainly wasn't the best day for it with the wind gusting between 10 and 30mph, but what the hell, he would get a feel for the gun if not the accuracy I knew she could do. After a very hasty zero, I let him punch a few targets, but I was jealous, I love her, her, happens to be a daystate huntsman regal in .22, so I nabbed it back for a quick shoot, and considering I've not shot it for a year or so, it's never been touched, serviced or tuned, straight out the

Nice going, I love rat shooting. 8 shot mags, I remember them well, another reason the wildcat had to go, when you first use the hw it feels like an endless supply of shots, and them a&m cylinders make a huge difference to shot count, you boys must have been flinging some lead. another pellet to try along with jsb and faps, is daystate sovereigns, my guns usually love them.
-
You know what, I love sausages, and i would guess I've tried many different ones in every shop, farm shop, butchers and delicatessen I've ever been in. the best two I've found, porky whites, good meaty tasting sausage, and the next best ones believe it or not, came from the local londis shop, can't remember the brand, but I couldn't believe it, got some in an emergency last summer and couldn't get over just how nice they were.

Or a bit further north is sporting targets in riseley, Bedfordshire.

Sensible talk on your own opinion, and that's your prerogative, but for some of us it's a lot more than just a hobby, it affects my business, the knock on effect of that is it affects my livelihood, and of course my way of life.

Welcome, I have family not far from you in west palm beach, keep begging me to go out and see them.

Got a few in a hedgerow I need clearing, it's about 13 yards long and all brambles, going to be cutting the brambles out to replant a new hedge, plenty of rat holes and I see them in there every night with thermal, will also be a digger on hand to clear the brambles and dig a trench for new hedge, so digging the holes out be no problem if needed, anyone interested let me know. could probably move a shed or two while we're at it. won't be no huge numbers, but should be a few about.

Yes, I think I will be using a lot more than the average household so need to keep it cost effective where possible.

I get day olds but also hatch my own, oddly enough I've just done 10 today

I got an old girl a bit like him, deer, fox, cats and she was on it in a flash, she wrecked her cruciate ligament chasing a fallow, thankfully she has slowed down in older age, but still comes to life when she sees something, and surprisingly quick and nimble when the mood takes her.

I keep meat birds as well as layers, they certainly don't end up as cheap meat like you can buy in supermarkets, but it's 100% better.
