Thanks for the ideas fellas, i had checked voymir but he was up a fair bit compared to others. Although I've used him in the past. Thanks for the offer phil, but I have recently bought 20 plus packs of testers to try out, just need a good day to properly test everything. i know the kings work well, so don't mind having them in stock, I do go through an awful lot every month. I don't really have a good rfd nearby, the only one is bloody expensive on pellets countryways is second best on price, but only has 9 tins in stock. cheapest so far is some Polski on eBay, b

Correct me if I'm wrong, but.... since when was crowdfunding reserved for poor folk, or for anyone for that matter. sure, I think they've got some bloody brass neck on them when they earn such good money in the first place, but I don't see them scamming anyone, in fact, they make it quite clear who they are and what work they do, if folk want to give away their money to them, upto them, it's all out in the open, and some people love giving money away. I don't actually think they have done nowt wrong, maybe immoral, but not wrong, they could and most likely would have paid

Did you get an answer that works ? My bloody dog is always picking up fleas as he spends half his life head down rabbit holes, and always out ratting/rabbit/fox shooting with me. fronline should be called wasteoftimeline. Looking for solutions as he is giving them to my other dogs and the farm cats. Niel Cooley, I had thought about sheep dip myself.

I think we're all sorted for now.

I've been rearing turkeys for many years, I hatch all my own, and every few years buy in some fresh stock. It can be done, it's not easy, turkeys live to die in the first few months. you need the incubator settings just perfect or they will struggle to get out the shell, the problems brought on by that are numerous, and often they won't survive. once you get it Sussed it's a breeze, I reckon on 90-95% fertility, 80-85% hatch rate, and 80% survival rate, taken many years to get to that, when I started I would be lucky if I got 10% survival rate. They can live w

How to go about getting new permission?
Rabid replied to Saltmoon's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Reading half these comments, it's no surprise most land owners go straight on the defensive and knock everyone back, they do give permission out, but usually only to decent folk who respect laws and boundaries. once you get one, look after it, respect their property, behave sensible, and word soon gets round your ok and more perms will come from the back of it. one thing a lot of farmers like, a little help with stuff every now and again, if you walk in and he is sweeping the grain store, grab a brush and give him ten minutes of your time, goes a long way that does. -
What a bitch, I hope she gets old and suffers a similiar fate. My Mrs does carer work, and has had two disiplinaries for reporting abuse, both times the accused got away with it, even though it was witnessed by the Mrs on the first occasion, and her and another carer on the second, after an in house investigation she was reprimanded for falsely accusing him. The investigation was a joke, the company don't care about it, they are in it for the mega bucks it brings in, not welfare. The same guy also had 3 reports of sexual harassment from female staff, the company just brushed it a

I rang them, and although they couldn't supply what I wanted (they have a cheaper plastic version) I found the lady extremely helpful, she really went out her way to give me as much info as possible, would certainly recommend them for honesty and not ripping folk off.

I had exact same problem with a wolverine 2 hilite, thing was the biggest piece of junk I ever owned, very disappointed with it. fortunatly, I know the history of my regal from new, and can say hand on heart it's never missed a beat, all it's had done to it since new is replaced probe seals, in the breech.

Fugly, that's what I think to it.

We've always been a bit behind the times, we're bumpkins round these parts you know.
-
Will it be up in the air then ? cant recall ever seeing half inch chicken wire, weldmesh yes, not chicken wire though
-
Not when I've seen it happen, no.
-
Ha ha, missed that one, I had just finished shovelling some coal for me fire and the bloody bag split so I picked it up. But then my hands are grubby most days for some reason or another.
-
Why is it 1/2 inch by inch ? i would have thought inch by inch to be fine for rabbits.
-
Yeah your right bud, I've also been out myself, feck me I could have swam round the fields quicker and quieter, saw one fox but only a fleeting glimpse as it dissapeared through a hedge, so grabbed the air rifle and had a little wander with the dog, only had one rat and a half grown rabbit for the ferrets, but better than sat watching crap on telly. For me it's never about filling bags, I like been out, I like been round my fields, see what's happening, how things are getting on, sometimes I never fire a shot, still get the enjoyment of been out there.

No I agree, no fight at all, but some folk seem to think that's the way to start them. i also agree it's most likely breeding that their getting nicked for. The gun dog point was a bit naff and in a rush as I was out the door shooting. what I was getting at, not all fighting dogs and the so called 'owners' go 'pit on pit'. I speak from experience, much to my disgust, a good few yrs ago I was unlucky enough to end up in a yard with someone, and the fella kept dogs, mostly for show/bravado/fighting to make him feel his cock was bigger than it probably was, his idea was to

Agreed. Thanks, but it does get better, wait till I get a nice calm day, itching to get it out again now. I'm just lucky, I have a perfect hw100 as well, it's been an agonising 6 months deciding what I am going to keep and what's going I can tell thee. I am so not a fan of all the elictricery models they do, but I've always been a dinosaur. From the man who was talking of selling up ??? you know it didn't make sense ?
