I was over in Spain last year and there was a huge fire that raged for two days , they had planes and helicopters flat out all day it was like pissin on a bonfire ..the helicopters hold about a half a ton of water it didn't seem to make a Hugh amount of difference and they can't fly after darkThe skill of the pilots had to be seen to believe ,this was filling up at a farmers water tank about twenty ft across ..

Had a go over another place this morning , the trees were hanging black with them at quarter to five , I set the hide up and put the decoys out but unfortunately I couldn't get the right side of the wind and my only shot was across the corner of the wood as the bird cut across me left to right , managed to pick up 24 with at least another 8 falling back further into the wood that belongs to a rabid anti so where they fell they stayed , she had already been out at 7am shouting to tell me under no circumstances was I or my dog allowed on her land ..fcuking old trout , she looked like she'd slep

Up and out early to have another go at the black birds , set up under an old dead oak and with a couple of young crows on the ff5's managed to knock down about 70 in a fairy brisk wind which see the birds coming in very low and slow ( my sort of shooting ) against the wind or from a good height dropping fast on to the pattern which did provide some really sporting birds , anyway picked these and lost another 9 or 10 ..good day ( unless you was a crow ) Oh and one pigeon that really I should have stuffed as they are like rocking horse sh.t at the moment round here ..

  18. Thanks Terry it was looking at your pictures that made me think, it would be less hassle and cost for me as well. By the way what I do with Bind weed is I put a garden cane in the ground so it has something to climb and not our flowers or veg and then give it a good treatment of glyphosate/round up. I think there isn't any other way to get rid of the bloody stuff and even glyphosate isn't 100% effective but I had very good results with is this technique at the old house....unfortunately we have bloody loads of it in this garden.   20. There will be a form to fill in by anyone that suffers from rabbit damage , just fill it in , pop it into the local council and Jeremy will borrow some more money to pay for it ... Given the shooting industry is worth around £2 Billion to the uk economy this has all the hallmarks of another carefully thought through plan ..
