    Can’t see that happening before every thing else takes a big hit , I’d stick with something like a 32 gr 5 pigeon extreme , lot mor predictable..

    They are on the general licence now , thought to be around 50,000 in the country with an annual increase of 25 % they are a threat to our native hole dwelling bird , including woodpeckers , nuthatches starlings etc ..also there Big gatherings are putting the blue tits greatits and other garden birds of the feeders just by the sheer numbers ..fruit farmers down here hate the bloody things they will keep returning to the same tree till it’s stripped bare ..

    No stress we off to Spain , driving down , taking the dog , ferry booked and paid for , everything sorted ......EXCEPT THE FCUKING TRUCK BROKE DOWN TODAY ........had it picked up , they plugged it in ...it showed .nothing ..there going to have a proper look at it Friday when they get some time ...am I panicking ...am I stressed ....YES .. Big time ..

    Been up in one of those ...only the once mind ..I’ve got a couple of free standing ones but with a much bigger base area and a lot more rigid but there not portables .. I’ve also got a couple of that make but the tree rest ones , the quality is about the same level as the price mate ..

    As far as I’m aware it’s banned for birds in the food chain but I’m sure you can get it for use in pigeons etc .. Just had a look seems to be on sale without prescription .....

    I keep forgetting you can’t sell the meat to a gamedealer ... I use what I consider the best round to do the job with the least damage ( 6.5 x55 using 129gr ) ..even if I body shoot the damage is fairly minimal ..I definitely won’t be useing the 338 lapau on the fallow , well not unless I take a dustpan and brush to pick up the remains ..

    Given the limited number you can shoot I would have thought saving the meat would be a deciding factor ..couldnt think what my gamedealer would say if we took in what looks like bomb damaged remains ..fcuk that is some hole ..what sort of weight would that deer be in the larder ..150 lb or heavier .? ..
