Right I’ve looked through the tin stock I’ve got two tins of anchovies in garlic brine , 1 small tin of frankfurters (dented) and a catering size tin of gherkins dated 1971 .......I don’t mind chucking in one of the 10,000 lira notes to sweeten the deal ..

Out on the doe’s again this morning , mild ,damp with a very slight north westerly ..working through the lower wood and bank we had only been going twenty minutes and the dog stopped , nose in the air ,stretching her head up she was almost lifting her front legs , a clear sign she could sent the deer . A full ten minutes we stood there , she never moved forward but just kept her head high scenting all the time , I for the life of me couldn’t see them or it ..finally I see the head of a deer poking out from behind a tree , no distance 40 metres at most it just stood motionless another five minu

Had a mate out for a day on the fallow , he had a hour and half drive arriving at mine for six thirty , a quick coffee and 15 min drive see us over my perm at seven ..with a sharp easterly wind we only really had one choice of action , in the gate turn sharp right and follow the road right to the bottom , park up and work into the wind through the bottom wood ...as we came in the headlights cast over the top fields , parkland more than actual fields , sixty or seventy deer were out feeding in almost one long line across the very top of the field , with absolutely no chance of getting on them w
