    Used to have them both and I found the 308 much more agreeable to use , that’s not saying it’s better , nothing ever stood up after hitting it with a 270 ..just found the 308 nicer to shoot especially if it was down the range .. edited to say I have neither of them now and use the 6.5 on everything ..

    My favourite, 6.5 x 55 .. 129 gr ,..accurate, goes in comes out , minimum meat damage ..to me the 22.250 is a varmit round , if I was going down the 22 route the 222 wants some beating On roe ..

    I went down the stainless / synthetic route a few years back more for weight issues than anything , still treat it the same as the blued version cleaning wise . Given our wet it gets up the top end I think that stainless is the way forward ..

    That is a huge leap forward in technology, a landrover with a HEATER that works ... ..seems quieter and smokes less than most and with better acceleration and top end speed it’s got to be a winner ...I presume it still leaks oil and water so people know where your parking spaces are ..little more work to do on draft proofing and windscreen wipers but definitely a big tech leap ...

    See a black one the other evening while in a high seat , Only ever seen one before and that wasn’t black more dark grey , this one is proper black . There’s no Shoot on this estate so we don’t shoot the foxes so if he stays he’s safe .. That is a big vixen MIK ...

    One of the drives on our little Shoot was the Iron pond ....dried up pond filled with more old sh1t than you could shake a fcuking stick at , rolls of old barbed wire stock fence , machinery , metal panels , wheels you name , if it was rusty , busted or fcuked it was there covered in a sea of weeds and scrub ..all just in case it might come in handy some day . I recon some stuff must have been there thirty year or more ...
