Well done mate , I haven't got into any this week in five outings . The rut is on big time and they don't seem to be coming out till well after dark , the bucks are grunting all day but are deep in the woods . Obviously there are loads of out of season doe's all over the place ..? Do you not hang them in the jacket ? .

The police in Sussex have a warden scheme were they can call on people on the scheme to come out a put the injured animal down ..saves them having to get a vet out at night and all the charges that would incur not to mention the time involved to get it done , i do a ten mile radius of were I live sometimes I will go a bit further if no one else is available .Just lately most have been within a couple of miles at most and some within 800yds from my door ..There is obviously paperwork to fill out with every call ! I get called out to deal with deer related RTA's for the police and yes you get to dispose of the carcass , not that there any good for much , most are smashed up to the point were they can't move , hence the call out .Most of mine are collected by contractors and burnt ..there's only so much dog meat you can keep or give away ..

That's a hell of a lot of head trauma for a shot that didn't enter the head. If it in some way entered the body was redirected and left through the skull it was still carrying a hell of a lot of energy for a bullet that has completely changed direction through whatever mechanism (ricochet etc). 6.5 is a fairly pokey round. I dunno if they have the same tendency to be redirected like a little 22 (5.56)? I can't see the bullet redirecting in that short a distance , given the bullet was fired downwards it would need to virtually change direction to go upwards to exit the head ...

He had already been hit , high on the back with the round exiting his throats which then went on to injure another occupant , a senator I think .. I can't think she would be trying to pick up his skull , from what I see he was hit high right on the head , more as Wilf says trying to get out in panic .. Having looked at that a few times I don't think she was trying to get out , could she have been trying to get the security people in closer ..she seemed to have a purpose ..whatever it was she wasn't trying to pick up bits of skull

Why does every one think the head shot was intended ? . I fancy the back was the target , his first shot had already hit him high back and exited his throat So then under huge pressure he has to rechamber and get back on target using a 4 power scope with a $12 rifle , I think the head shot was just a lucky strike ( depending where your sitting) ..As said if your head shooting why not take the closer 50 yd shot ..? The front body shot with driver and security obscuring the target is not on but the rear body shot is clear as the first shot shows ...

Got a pair of Haix of eBay , £30 odd , super comfortable the best value boots I've ever bought , I'm gutted when I think of the bloody money I've wasted on harkila le chameau and other over priced shit ..since I've bought these six of the lads over the shoot have bought them and ever one of them are well pleased ..have look see mate ..
