  2. She's decent but its all got far to stylised now, i much prefered it raw... ?
  3. Thats just simply a great post to highlight just what a real working whippet is capable of... My first working lurcher was a whippet (with a good splash of greyhound for the tracks) and she was some animal, punched far beyond her weight and she was used and abused like a dog can be with a mad keen school kid owner. On her death I remember my dad looking at her scar riddled corpse and saying she'd had a hard life... No shit..!! Youngster i've been out ratting with a few times has one the same, just a bloody good dog, thats had the time and effort put in, without any safety net and the
  4. I'd agree with that, though it's certainly not badly written... ?
  5. Common sense ain't that common... ?
  6. Seen and owned a few dogs with a fair amount of Deerhound blood in them and all the best ones also had a good drop of collie blood too. So i'd be looking at a Deerhound Grey x Collie Grey before anything else..
  7. Books... Nathan - DBP Crazy From The Heat - DLR Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee - GG Cider With Rosie -LL Kes - BH Come Dawn Come Dusk & Green And Pleasant Land - NM (can't choose between the two!)

Pet hates... Gemma Collins Working dog adverts that say shit like "wont be begged" & PM for price Dog lads that moan about the state of working dog shows these days and have stunning, well worked dogs! Dogs that always take a dump right in the path your walking. Kennel whiners That queer weather bloke Thinking of more hates that will come to me the second i hit 'submit reply'
  11. I'm in/was in the same boat. Took 6 nights out, over many miles to finally nab a rabbit for my pup local. It was soul destroying, if i'd of had my old dog i'd of caught rabbits every night but it's bloody difficult with a pup. Eventually we got one and it was both worth it and nessesary... Keep at it, don't give up, put the effort in and you'll be glad you did. We've got stormy weather coming this week, get your lamp charged... ?
  12. Were they the bull grey/deerhound grey? If so, i seen the ad on one of the FB pages. They'll sell at that price too, even though the bull cross looks (to use my fave Catchum quote) like its still got the wrapper on... ? These prices disgust me... ?
  13. El Dorado is a great film. ? Glad you've just reminded me about The Missing, been wanting to watch that for a while now ?
  14. Sat watching telly last night and my Mrs jumps up pointing out the window skywards. I caught a fleeting glimps of something bright going across the sky. She seen it clear and contacted the International Meteor Organisation. It was a fireball meteor and by this morning there was over 7k sightings of it and this evening its been reported in the Liverpool Echo.
  15. Watched two films last week, Red Sparrow which was ok, especially for the fact that Jenifer Lawrence gets her kit off quite a bit. The other was Vin Diesel in Bloodshot , which was the biggest pile of tripe i've seen in a long time. Don't bother with this one!

  17. Grew loads of runners last year and had no issue with birds. Real garden centres (not the ones with tea rooms and ornaments for sale, i hate those!) should sell fine plastic mesh by the meter for buttons (mine does)
  18. I've sat near a week on this... Do i post, or do i leave it... Because, any lurchers first lamped rabbit is hardly a big deal... Well, i suppose it is, or more of a small weight that's been lifted, on the way to bigger and better things, when you've raised a pup from a ball of fluff... And i know earlier i've said she's made an ok start but then she'd never been purposly taken her out to make a start on chanced things but though late, i finally thought she was ready and, maybe, because i'm older now, she was in reality more than ready.... My local semi permo ( semi bec
  19. Deffo not, they get rough as feck..! ?
  20. Whatever's comfy mate. Thicker in winter, thinner in summer ?
  21. 5 pair of them neoprenes from Aldi and some booze with the change. Just done 11 months in them 20 quid Aldi specials. Worn almost every day and have seen some milage too. I'm really surprised at how comfy they are. I've had some bloody good £150 plus wellies but i'm just too hard on them and its a sickener when they split. This year i'm gonna spash out on two Aldi pair, so as they can dry out from almost constant wear. ?
