    Got an issue in my little Home Bargain 'greenhouse' though... Think its called leafcurl. Its affecting some of my tom's but not all, some of my chilli's but not all. Its only on the upper leaves and dosen't seem to affect the plant, anyone know anymore?

    My little guerilla gardening (not my land) patch is doing ok thus far... Had some early carrots (to thin em), broad beans and cabbage. Recon early spuds are ready too. Would have liked a bit more variety but things couldn't be helped this year. Hopefully my runner beans, dwarf french, beetroot, butternut and pumpkins go ok.

    Got one on each Fireman, the John Peel one has been on all my kennels for over 30 years but its not an old one. I've had the stag and hunting horns for a few years now. I think its much older.

    This is rumour thats been going around for a year or two now. It seems it was started with those old illuminate photographs of the Rothschilds ball and a more recent one of Lady Gaga looking like she's drinking blood off some dead bloke at a party.     Not quite... Not the mag direct but it was always about his friends that made a lot of money from selling pups... That said, its still a shame the mag has come to an end.

    Shame that but Charts is right, time moves on. Sadly i stopped my subscription about 10 years ago. I got sick to death of the BMP and halal slaughter, it wasn't what i wanted to read in a dog mag. I don't know if it stayed the same, as it may have suited many, or Dave moved on from that but i've always had a touch of guilt about not supporting the mag. I wish Dave all the very best... ?

    But then i suppose, he had no need for much of it anyway. He simply used the best of what he knew, what he seen. Any history came along the way. It's a clean way of breeding if you have the capability of being able to try that much stock. As facinating as any working dog history is, it only offers insight, we must never disregard the 'fact' of what we see with our own eyes...

    IMO the most evocative figure in game dog history the Oaklahoma Kid. Some loved him, some hated him. That bullyson gear did look big and i read they were 'manny' too. Earl said Mrs Tudor had bad scars all over her legs from feeding them when he was away but knew how to get em off... She carried a hammer! Would like to read that BH book about the line.
