  1. Don't quite know Rob, a few lads i knew in the city did or had owned em in the past but they just didn't seem to take off until lads (me included) started to see what the Pye dogs were all about...
  2. Can't seem to find that anywhere?
  3. RIP... The bloke was very funny, sad news that...
  4. Keep thinking about my first reply to this post and keep thinking i should of given the old dog a bit more, rather than try and be almost uninterested... I also should have give Blackmag some help with this too, as he was fighting Pye's corner alone. As to answer the first part, Pye IMO was a great producer BUT at his best only when linings were kept tight. The two litters he produced with Otter, his litter sister, were top draw. He produced 3/4's & 5/8th's that were also very good. But Pye was put up for general stud and because of his reputation any old bollox was put under him and
  5. Fish supper... Sounds so strange for a scouser that. I've never heard chippy fish an chips called that in or around this city... Makes it sound posh.! Went out with a real posh bird years ago (she was deffo lovin a bit of rough..!) And all their evening meals were called 'suppers'. We did use that word but for a bite to eat before bed time, like after 9pm type thing. Me mam loved cheese on toast for a supper, maybe once a week. Evening meals were your 'tea', lunch times were your 'dinner'. So for us it was, breakfast, dinner and tea but once or twice a week you could have a supp
  6. Django's flawed by Sam L's hammy performance and Fox trying too hard to be 'cool' in the west.
  7. My cousins husband is a kc judge for the breed. He swears they catch rabbits but looking at the state of them, i very much doubt they'd catch a rabbit in a phone box..! Stick to genuine working breeds & types ?
  8. Jeez... The poor old Beddy's fecked with all these shennanighans. KC reg, workers that won't be sold to working dog men, fussing over a bit of Lakie blood etc etc... I've always fancied a Beddy, one from a solid working line, that works underground. I wouldn't give two hoots whats in the line, wouldn't give a flying feck about the KC either, just a solid working line producing solid working dogs... I genuinely have no idea if such things still exist but i know one thing, if they do, no one's gonna sell one to me... ? Poor old George will be turning in his grave.. ?
  9. Thats a shame, i was hoping your post was to put us on to something a bit better, less peddlers, less shite.
  10. Not got any pictures but did a stirfry on Saturday and used a 'velveting' trick in the chicken before cooking. Game changer... ??
  11. In some inland regions, yes mate... I think the ingredients change in different regions
  12. Was thinking the same, though i like that merle and the one in the bottom picture with the eye patch ?
  13. My Mrs is a laundry nutter, i only have to try sommat on and she's wanting to wash it, so drying is paramount. Luckily we have rooms built on to the side of the house, which house the heating, washing, freezers and the all important extra kazi. Through the summer the washing is line dried whenever possible but in winter we use a large tumbler, vented outside. ?
  14. There were a couple of Irish lads on that pm'd me regarding the line(s) that was over there but like the close stuff thats on this side, those lads wouldn't be near a site like this...
