  1. Heard about this tale today on R2, i've been to one of these Mongolian all ya can eat jobbies daaarrrn sarrfff, Timogens in Bexleyheath. Feck me, Stabba & Si would have passed out with malnutrition between courses, waiting for the slow feckers to cook a fart arsed stir fry in a bowl my three year old would demolish an ask for seconds and probably thirds!!
  2. My grandad had Kerrys back in the late 40's, he had 'em brought over. When he told me and showed me the photos as a kid, I, in typical schoolboy fashion was well impressed and quoted the write up from my trusty 70's Observers book of dogs. 'Oh yer, they were fiery enough' he told me, 'fight with everything but full of piss & vinegar!' I didn't know what he meant and asked, he said he had collies that were tougher!! By the time I was a kid my Grandad always had collies, not the show type mind, he was never a supporter of shows but he did tell me that before the Kerrys, before the war, he
  3. I grew up in Anfield, Liverpool 4, which is just about as inner city as you could get. Living there as a kid, I had one mate with the same interests and weekends were spent 'bussing' it beyond the city to get our fill of hunting, got some funny looks off the bus drivers and passengers with our lurchers, terriers, ferrets and shovells, especially on the way home caked in shite but most folk then simply smiled and seemed happy about what we were up to and loved the dogs. We had our city spec's, EdgeHill railway, Anfield Cemetry, Liverpool slaughterhouse to name a few but getting out to the city
  4. Thats a crackin lookin Doberman JCM... I'm a big fan of B&T dogs an that one does look well, no ugly fecker in my eyes.
  5. Thats what I used Stabba, easy and good service.
  6. I'd also pack the bushing with him in for at least the season, concentrate all his work below ground. Let him know that this (for the time being) will be his vocation.
  7. I gather Buck referes to the deer rather than the manufacturer.
  8. I'd just add, to some already sound advice, that if he's already catching and he's yapping in flustration if there's another dog there, then go out on your own for a bit, give him ALL the best runs.

    Full house

I've just come back from a walk on the fields front and back, wasn't worth connecting the lamp up!
  10. Angela, SS is dead right, to offer your dog up for stud with a post saying you know nothing about it is plain daft! Firstly, ask yourself why your dog should be put to other bitches, is he 'that good', do you require a pup from him, where no other will do? Because, on here, there are plenty of folk who do keep real digging dogs and would shoot you down for adding to the saturated gene pool of poor grade stock. So, lets say your dog is that good, got plenty of seasons hard graft behind him below ground and he comes from parents where the line can be traced back, so as users can trace th
  11. Was never a mate of PE but knew him through a club we were both in at the time. He may have, though I would have thought his whites all came off Garys..?
  12. I had the odd white in a litter from time to time so did dave R out of his dog Rip he was bred by Sid Wilkinson and a few over lad at the time who had this line but the pup were weak sickly thinks if thay live I am not having a go at Gary just what a saw but all i can say thay work and work VERY VERY well Personally mate, I don't care if you have a pop at Gary or not, he's always stood himself up to be knocked down over his dogs anyway, it his choice. I've known him a long time and like the old bugger too but i've never been a fan of his dogs. Gary went into breeding and promoting h

    PAULUS THE MOD

Great choice for Moderator... Enjoy the ride mate, things will never be the same on here again...!!
  14. White Lakies have always been about... If the general knowlage about this line is to be belived and plenty have seen the pics and heard the tales, from Barker through Wilkinson to Middleton, then they were bred out of white dogs... No need to add any, the line already threw 'em and, if old tales are worth listenin to, then many a white dog was bred and 'given' as rabbitin dogs before the war, from other lines too, as they were deemed sub-standard because of colour. Not sayin Gary didn't add Fox terrier, maybe he did, I don't know but if his line of 'showey' Lakies already threw white pups
  15. Thats about the size of it all Pork, like most weirdo crosses, some do well (the Ridgeback x's I've seen did) and some just don't and the chances of finding the right Ridgeback to produce your ideal mutt would be few and far between. Let's face it, finding the right sort of any cross can be a struggle, so why waste time on a Ridgeback cross?
  16. Amsterdam... It ain't what it used to be, thats for sure...
  17. And George Kennedy as his right hand man ....a man like George in your corner and you'd climb Everest in 20 minutes Or eat 50 eggs...!!!
  18. Mine are the same as Paulus dogs, outside and wouldn't dare venture in, back door can be left open all day and they'll stay. The reason is the same as Tomo & Tiny's, I just don't think working dogs and young children mix. I would add that I simply don't like dogs in the house full stop, or rather I don't like 'housedogs' even though I was raised with 'em. Both dogs have been in in the past, the last time being that last hard winter, both dogs were faultless and slept quietly in the kitchen for a number of weeks, going out by day and returning at night. I'll end with agreeing with many, i
