    Tim is much calmer than me, I'm sure his would be a different dog Mine is a hyper maniac, out 3 times a day and still crazy, I know what he needs but ....... Maybe a treadmill might help I think. To bury the little tw@t under No mate... Its because he's a closet nutcase, that his dogs just can't compete and calm down..!!

Yep, your right, putting a post up tellin folk to go for a wheaten is a bit much on an open forum but then i'd rather that than helmets thinking they can 're-create' a usless breed...     Denise, ten ton of stuff out there that are harmful to dogs if eaten. With most of the 'edible' stuff on that list, its all about moderation. My old mums little terrier thingy gets chocolate daily, usually the last bit of a kitkat or something. Got it all her life and she's about 13. Had a dog that loved grapes too.. well, he loved catching 'em an ate 'em too, he lived to a ripe old age but sommat far more deadly to dogs seen him off... a car! And garlic is very good for dogs.     Worked with an old boy years ago. He had a farm on Altcar and was a massive coursing enthusiast in the 60's and 70's. He always said Deerhound crosses were the best on that ground and thats what he kept, though he'd seen a few greyhoundy lurchers do well. Poor bugger lost his tennancy due to his hare chasing ways.

    Seen a few go over, either the wrong dog on the wrong quarry or they just ain't fit enough. Nine times out of ten its, inexpierience with owners that gets a dog in a bad way.

    Irrispective of what 'lines' your dog comes from, the big question is, 'are both parents solid undergound working dogs'? Go with what BBB said, put as much time in as you can BUT beware, not every terrier makes the grade... Best of luck.
