  1. I'm a million miles away from being a twitcher, but this is a bird I'd love to see. Lad I know picked one up on Formby dunes
  2. Will keep my ears out for that. Round here we have plenty of both Buzzards and Jay's. The buzzards are a nightmare on the leverets in the area, and need culling. The Jay's, although prolific, put down more trees than tree rats could ever do....
  3. If you want a dog to become legendary, then ensure it only performes at it's very best. Pay no heed to challenge or bravado. Let your dog write it's own story, in the deeds that are done.... How you get to that, is your business, however you work your dog, however you test it, to become the stuff of legend, is your business, but you better be sure to keep that well under wraps...
  4. They are lovely things mate, especially that one in the first photo... I've tried to find mine as much graft I I can, sometimes 4/5 days a week, and everything I've put her on she's smashed. Would of loved the chance at Muntjac on the lamp, but I ain't travelling to do them. Thought long and hard about breeding from her, even more since I wrote the first post on this thread, and....
  5. Greenhouse is slow this year. Is it frosty nights, or peat free compost... Got around 60 tomatoes on the go, most from heritage varieties. Bought in a ton bag of compost at 51 quid, and put it down over cardboard to suppress weeds, so we'll see.... In the Greenhouse, Tom's small, sweetcorn shite, cucumber shite, courgette shite, peppers shite, chilli's oki'sh...
  6. Your probably right mate, but the mix, I think, exaggerates it more... I know that I struggle with these types, and would much rather prefer a dog that doesn't crave my constant attention... It doesn't help that i've always been allergic to dogs...!! Thankfully my wife and daughter deal with the household stuff, and she switches on to work, as soon as she's shown it.
  7. Nope, one off litter. I missed them when they were first offered, but thankfully was asked again, at around 10/12 months
  8. Gives em 'back pressure' when trying to find the gears....
  9. Ronda's 11 now, APBT x Cocker, both sides working bred. In 50 years of ratting she's the best i've ever seen, bar none...! As a busher she's decent enough, no Beagle cross, but she finds well, on all quarry. Gives tongue like a hound when she does, and puts so much gear out for my lurcher. She can kill a fox, go to ground, if the hole is big enough. Carry birds back as if they are made of glass, and is as loyal as I've ever known a dog... Maybe I should of bred from her, but though I simply don’t breed these days, she's so neurotic she's so difficult at home. True, I n
  10. If your looking for a speedy all-rounder, you can't go wrong with whippet & coursing blood
  11. Thanks for making the effort for me, sounds worse than I thought mate, so nothings gonna make me hit the play button...
  12. Got the jist from the comments, and thought feck that, i'm not playing the clip...
  13. Any trab with a long toe cap like Samba or Nike Cortez look shite if you've got big feet...
  14. The 'original' Samba were a much smarter shoe than the big tongued suede efforts you see now.
  15. Adidas Samba, Mamber, Bamber & Kick. Kick were the cheapest and worn mainly by the younger kids. Though they were the most hard-wearing and made the best street footy trabs. If you couldn't afford Adidas, Mitre Memphis offered Samba style but much more affordable.
  16. All I ever see now are North Face Ninja's...
  17. Sub- Cuture kids are almost extinct. The terrace clobber culture is now massive, which I find a bit strange really. Not that there's anything wrong with the clothing as a style, but it's how much they are coming up with these days. Trying too hard to find 'new and exiting' lines from brands that, back in the day, there really wasn't that much choice in. I look at these new shops choc-full of styles and colours I've never seen before, most of which were never there back in the day... Thank feck I lived through it (loved it) but as Gnash says above, some of it just sparks a memory...
  18. Gutted for you Ray, it's never easy. Remember the good times, and there were many... RIP Buck
  19. Timmyk once had a Lurcher that would bite off and gobble down the head of almost every rabbit it caught. The rest of it was retrieved to hand...
  20. Finally got round to Oppenhiemer last night... Give yourself the time to both watch and concentrate on it and, I'm sure it'll be worth it... Director Christopher Nolan at the top of his game! A stellar cast, Murphy and Downey are fantastic, their quality shines through, though I really enjoyed Emily Blunt's performance. For me, the film had just about everything, screenplay, history, tension and acting brilliance. A couple of points though, not knowing much about the subjects history can make it a difficult follow in parts, and some dialogue can be given with little regard
  21. Like a few on here I done the big flash wedding thing first time around, and though that's what her and her family wanted, I believe it contributed to the break up 10 months later. Second time round I'd met someone who, though wanting a marriage, never wanted the pomp & ceremony. We had the suit and the dress, but it was the registry office attached to the council buildings where she worked. With all her mates hanging out the windows cheering us on. Then over to the boozer next door for a swift half, before heading off to our evening venue, the community association club. No char
