I've kept all sorts of snakes, insects and arachnids over the years but don't keep anything at the moment. If you are happy with the corns don't bother with a royal because their fussy feeding can be a nightmare.

I run a gang of lads through the winter season but come summer time I'll be up on a platform on my own most of the time which can be boring but better than listening to someone midering all day. Worse still when they stick someone I don't like with me.

All the linnet mules I've seen look like this or poorer coloured

We had quite a few that colour locally at one time but they just vanished. Always been the odd black one too but even normal ones are endangered at the moment.

Drill a 22mm hole in the centre of the filter, abit like the old clubman filters. Does it work well?

Mixed canary and dandelions was the best for mine. I spoilt my first goldies with too much good stuff and made them too lazy to tread.

Laurel or privet will screen it off and easily cut back hard if needed.

I can never understand why people bother having a drink if they're driving, what's the point having one pint or even shandy? If I'm going to drink alcohol I'm getting pissed, if I'm thirsty and driving I'll have a soft drink or a brew.
