  1. Peas are doing ok. The sweetcorn seems to be shooting up now Some of the sweetcorn have got three stems, should I leave them for extra corn or do they hinder the plant like side shoots on toms?
  2. My onions tips went pale so I fed them and it went away, they are doing it again now?
  3. The pellets are about 7.50 for 25kg so not too expensive but yeah there's no point running them on too long is there eating loads of grub.
  4. I'm yet to try a captive one but I'm interested to see/taste the difference.
  5. These are on breeder pellets, hay ad-lib and plenty of vegetables too.
  6. Can you remember what age yours were ready for butchering at mate? Everything I read says 8 weeks but these californians are not at that age so is it the strain? One of his new Zealand does came pregnant and these kits are massive in comparison but the father is a mystery.
  7. My mate has got nz and californian on the go at the moment, the crosses are meant to be the best for eating apparently. I got a californian doe for the kids off him which I might take a litter off in a couple of months.
  8. I did a bit of tomato picking and sweeping out the greenhouses while at school and I did a summer on the desk at the nursing home my mum worked at answering the phone and signing visitors in etc but that wasn't for me. When I got kicked out of school I did a bit on a poultry farm and then went keepering at 15. I wish I had done better at school but I was nuts at the time
  9. Does anyone on here breed their own meat rabbits? If so what breeds do you keep and feed etc? Cheers
  10. I've had it done to me and I would say out of all the stuff I've had done on my back/shoulder that was the least effective.

    Blackpool

If you look across the water it's better over here, there's less puke covering the pavements
  12. The bloke that owned it told me there's houses on it now... That's what I thought too. Has he still got the shop up the road?

    Your Kids.

I tell my parents in love them all the time and I kiss my mum every time I see her, one day I won't be able to. I'm affectionate to my kids but my youngest is not the sort of kid who likes to be kissed and cuddled a lot.
  14. They do consider the temperament yes, she told me they wouldn't keep a bad un and I was surprised to see all the collie types walking around and not feel threatened like on most farms.spot on gnipper, first time I went I had the kids with me, and first I was wary to get kids out as they ain't small dogs and all the shit people talk on here I questioned it. After seeing how they were their behaviour was spot on and great with my kids. Didn't see a single nervy aggressive collie there. Doesn't mean that you can't do a collie x head in or bad handling can certainly make them funny though in my op
  15. I hope they stay away from our red squirrels.

  17. Same method worked for me and every other ex smoker I know.
  18. Is anyone using these tabs on their dogs? Are they any good? It's a nightmare trying to get the spot on stuff to the skin on my beardie cross with his dense undercoat so I'm thinking these might be easier? Cheers
  19. I'd pay off my families mortgages and buy myself a nice house, nowt flash maybe a 4 bed detached and a couple to rent out and then I'd keep the rest to live off comfortably and leave to my kids and nephews and nieces. I don't want holidays or flash cars etc.
  20. I search local to see who's selling what and I also Google phone numbers of suspected peddlers to see what comes up.
  21. We used to make pen guns with the banger out of a party popper and a biro. They hurt with stones in.
  22. Get a snare in the hole and a couple of knackered hens in the pen.
