  1. Well done Rez, nice looking rifle as well.
  2. I've got a Theoben gas ram in .20 and to make best use over a .22 of the same power I use lighter pellets, superfield and h&n ftt's. These fly at around 700 FPS from a 12 ft lb rifle and are noticeably flatter than a 12 ft lb .22 past 30 yards. They certainly seem to hit just as hard from what I can tell. Many a vermin has fallen to it over the 20 odd years I've had it.
  3. Well done Raymond, thanks for sharing, looks like you had a good time fella.
  4. Round heads tend to be the best overall. Find the ones that you get the best accuracy with and aim between the eye and the ear for a clean kill. Good accuracy is vital for despatching rabbits with air guns.
  5. Nice one kriss, looking forward to your report.
  6. Hmm, I think I need an hw99 after reading this.......
  7. Well done mole, good shooting fella.
  8. Well done billy, that stock's come up nice on the rapid fella. What's the scope billy, is it a hawke?
  9. Of the two you mention, I'd go for the hawke. If you can pick up a simmons wtc (phillipines) model, they are a good solid scope, nothing fancy but they have a bright clear image and hold zero. I've had two of them for years and they work well for me.
  10. Good shooting billy, rapid's looking good fella.
  11. CZ 511 has to be one of the best semi auto .22's IMO. Don't know much about the 512's though I suspect they're probably good. I've seen some tricked up 10/22's but I'd still choose a CZ 511 if I was after a semi auto .22, can't comment on the browning buckmark.
  12. Good shooting Elliot. I've been shooting more squirrels with my rimfires this year than I have with a shotgun. Just sat in the truck and picked them off as they go about their business. A good job done and a good bit of sport into the bargain.
  13. Totally agree about the choke. I cut the choke off mine and it patterns so much better now. A lot more useful than the central clump and outer spattering of lead that it used to throw with the choked barrel.
  14. Good shooting blatter, well done fella....
  15. Anybody seen my pet wabbit, it's a blue? Lost in nottz area....lol.well done fella.
  16. I've seen this myself this morning, a small rookery near my house. They seemed to be fettling the nests.
  17. Check tonight, I think Yukon men is on at 11 o'clock on discovery channel.
  18. sub 12 mate Thought so billy, because of the shorter barrel. Better handling though, mines got a 24 inch barrel and it handles like a line prop. Deadly accurate though.
  19. Like Deker, I can't find any notable difference in any of the 17 grain tipped bullets performance.
