  1. Nice one Russ, what breed are they?
  2. Lol...forgot to mention the little 'un. Cought in a fenn trap that one, he just wanted to join in a bit of the limelight.
  3. Managed five more the other day. Got my second mid air squirrel as it tried to make a break for it by jumping to another tree, it's only chance of an escape route really. Didn't make it though and came crashing down into the brambles. Here's three of 'em....
  4. Nice one whitey, let us know how you get on with it fella.
  5. I've got a 5-20x50 Genesis on my .17 Rimfire and it's served me well. Good clear sight picture and I'm happy enough with the reticule. It suits the rifle better than the burris signature that I had on it before IMO. I also have a mamba lite on my rapid mk1 and I'm very pleased with that scope as well for the price.
  6. ive got a plywood roof on a chicken shed but red mite had been living under the roof felt.
  7. I'm pretty sure that the mandatory five years in prison relates to possession of section five prohibited weapons without authorisation. However, you're going to be in trouble if you get caught with your air rifle over twelve ft lbs. not worth risking.
  8. Don't think you'd get many shots per charge either.
  9. Dr Bob does a buddy bottle conversion kit for the hw100.
  10. 2x1 is too small, as said by others 2x2 should be enough but 3x2 would also be ok for the framework. I used to keep British finches in a large aviary built with 3x2 timber. It was well strong enough. Depends on the size/span of the frame really.
  11. Great stuff Ian, what's the R10 running at? Can't beat a bit of squirrelling. Did you shoot them all on the feeders? thanks for sharing fella.
  12. Nice write up on the blog fella.
  13. Lovely rifles IMO, interested to find out how you get on..
  14. Lol..knew you'd say that. Hmr isn't my favourite, but, I've used mine to great effect on squirrels this past year. Taken loads of 'em. I've no doubt that the hornet offers a fair bit more as a vermin rifle and for that reason, I'm seriously thinking about adding a slot for one. CZ 527 of course.....
  15. Well, I was having a bit of a mooch around yesterday after squirrels mainly, when I happened on a pair of barn owls sat in a tree just looking at me. After about twenty seconds or so, one flew off, then a few seconds later the other followed it. The second owl only flew about forty yards into another tree and sat watching me. Looking below where they had been perched there were a lot of droppings, and at the side of the droppings a collection of pellets. In the wall, about ten feet from the tree is this nest in a hole in the wall. Not sure if it's their nest as barn owls don't build a nest as
  16. What's your budget? Custom Stocks in Sheffield might be able to make you a new one?
  17. As soon as I hear those words "on today's show" I switch the box off. To me it's the worst crap on telly, absolutely can't stand it and wouldn't waste a second watching the shite.
  18. I used a Japanese 4x40 Apollo 4star on my .22 rimfire for a long time. The same scope is now on my theoben sirocco carbine, a very good clear scope that I'll never consider selling. Seen the end of more rabbits and squirrels than I can remember.
  19. I believe it was the same stoat that's in the picture. I caught the rabbit and then reset the trap, only to later find the stoat in the same trap. Came back for another chew on the rabbit and got chewed itself by the mk4 I reckon.
  20. Last few days with two traps...shame about the rabbit though.
  21. If you convert it the power will be very low in .177 and will need some adjustment to bring it back up.
  22. That's not what you expected then Raymond. Good write up, thanks for sharing.
