  1. Commercial machines go for over a £1000, £6/700 secondhand. I bid on a machine up to £1100 on ebay, it was a £2600 machine and it had a "buy it now" price of £1500. So glad I didn't win it, this little thing here perfect for what I'm doing at the mo. I reckon I've done over 300 packets now with no problems, bags are a little expensive on the home vac models and they are a bit slow.
  2. If its just for the family 3 will do. More room for them, cheaper to feed, more scraps to go round and easier to name
  3. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001HBE5Y8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Got one of these before Christmas and it has done a fair bit of work so far. It was £44 at the time 2 year guarantee as well, so for me it's bargain.
  4. Generally I follow the dogs within reason, unless I know good spots or see something they don't. GPS is a good thing and it's good to let the dogs range, but you miss the action.
  5. Got a lad, well 34, that shoots here, he is involved with a vigil anti group. They have captured plenty of nonces. I have questioned him about it for many of the said reasons and they do lots and lots of research and are very careful for obvious reasons. The only thing I find weird is their obsession with it, but if it catches nonces I'm all for it. But I do think they need regulating or at least keeping an eye on.
  6. For forest/wood work, I like to bring my dogs on from an early age. Learning the pit falls of such work is vital for keeping your dog alive. Do a fair bit of hunting in the woods and surrounding land. I also hunt a good amount of orchards, they can be just as hazardous. Less Greyhound is better I think. Good cobby mutts with great feet and plenty brains.
  7. I bet the kids love coming around your house!

    Dead Cat

Heard it before and no matter how you tell it, it is shite
  9. Caffeine, pound for pound more toxic than Heroin. Then there's sugar, well don't get me started....
  10. Are you gonna use the stand/uprights or are you mounting it straight in the tree?
  11. Golf courses, smooth well drained, usually firm, slippery, with bunkers and a few nicely placed trees about. Dangerous? Very.
  12. Can't be having my ears covered when out hunting. And yes good picks. The Black powder thing, although interesting, sounds like a proper ball ache. I'll stick with the rim fire .
  13. Standard carry is a sub 3" non locking folder, summit like a Swiss Army Knife. The Criminal Justice Act (1988) says that you may carry a knife with a blade length of 3.0" or less so long as it is capable of folding and does not lock - so no fixed blade knives as an EDC!! This is for your “Every Day Carry” (commonly referred to as an EDC) or Pocket/Pen knife. I think for hunting the possibilities are lots. If you wish or need to carry a larger knife then you really need to have “Reasonable Cause”. That means that you must be able to prove that you had a genuine reason for carry
