    Dogs bark at black people because they are different in appearance, same as they bark at people with crash helmets or sunglasses. They can also smell different. I've got a Jamaican parented friend that had a good Doberman from working parents that didn't like certain white people. If your dog doesn't know any black people, it will probably be wary of them, same as a white person that doesn't know black people . It's not racism, it's fear of the unknown.

    Horses get the bullet mate. Drugs work out expensive in horse doses and you cant use the meat, then have to dispose of it. Bang bang Neddy. Horses DO get killed by injection and only yesterday morning I heard of a bullock killed by anesthetic. So never take anything for granted. When I mentioned that there's enough anesthetic in a horse to kill a lot of dogs that's because I've known where one dead horse fed caused over 20 hounds to die.     I think a Greyhound reared from a pup into the working world would fair better, learning from their mistakes. I had a Whippet Greyhound (racing type) that did very well. Obviously not as robust as a Lurcher, but she had good feet and learnt to control herself a bit, so kept sick bay to a minimum. Was gonna put her in pup at the age of 6, then she went and killed herself, hit a bench picking up a rabbit.

    Just recieved my new Lowa Mountain GTX replacements. I'll send my old ones of nearly 3 years off for resoling £60, I recon I will get another couple of years out of them. I wear my boots loads, I'm either in them, wellies or Crocs unless I'm going to a wedding .

    Will fluorocarbon stand up to a pikes teeth Lee? 50lb + should be ok. If I were fishing somewhere snaggy then maybe 100lb. There are a few doubts about using fluorocarbon traces. The main of pike I've caught on the fly haven't been deep hooked, unlike using bait where more of the line comes into contact with the teeth. With thick fluoro you can easily check for damage should you catch a fish or any problems such as trees etc fluoro is pretty tough gear as long as you keep your eye on it. The only bite offs I had is where I've been fishing for trout with lesser breaking strain. eve

    I would use a heavy duty fluoro carbon trace, that or Kevlar trace.
