  1. what do you mean by tuned , a new spring and such ? i have been looking at OX spring but they have alot of bad press for a good reason, there are far better springs out there. and the OX will probably take your rifle over the 12 ft lbs legal power limit here in the uk.
  2. a multishot pcp would be the best for hunting, however can be very expensive. for about 200-300 you could get a top quality used springer with a decent scope. after plenty of practice you should have learnt how to shoot it properly and as long as its pushing out over 10 ft lbs will be fine for hunting if you can group ever shot consistently under a 2p sized target at your chosen range. good guns to look out for cheap , up to £300 , would be HW 95 air arms tx200 then maybe up to about £350 for a good condition HW97 or 77 or aa pro sport
  3. well shot!! how do you find the scope then?
  4. wow nice post mate very good! im ok with stripping the rifle down, but I wouldn't dare open my record unit up!
  5. quality love watching vids like that
  6. consistency is important aswell. and different pellets are more consistent and accurate than others. as for shooting rabbits, all you need is 10 ft lbs .. out to sensible ranges, if you can hit the kill zone, its lights out. but all the above mentioned rifles will do the job...
  7. multishot would deffo be better for ratting mate
  8. yeah it will mate, but the comb/cheekpiece may be too low to get the right eye to scope alignment I love both my 97's the beech Thumbhole and the beech sporter and I cant decide which I like best lol
  9. excellent shooting lads. wish they did a lefthand prosport but that's another rant! haha. might have to train myself to shoot right handed hahaha
  10. nice one Aaron lad, that scope looks good on the rifle, how do you find the balance?
  11. haahaha I friggin hate cows aswell. :/ and I I think they can smell fear lol
  12. holy sh1t that's a big pile of bunnys!! well done mate!
  13. Im deffo getting better mate you shud try one of the crow sports skot you will fall in love with it atvbmac I shoot left handed tho, and cant hit a barn door right handed... so a lot of money just for the gun, then try sell the stock, and then get a custom stock made for it to shoot it left handed.. looking at a lot of brass there. lol il stick to my 97kt !
  14. good shooting there BigMac.AA.CrowSport. your getting better mate
  15. nice trainers mate lol, good job that grass is short or you would have got trenchfoot otherwise good shooting, shame about the fox nicking one of your bunnys tho! SKoT
  16. nice one, about the guy behind the counter letting you try before you buy. sounds like a good gunshop wont go far wrong with an s410 .. if a gun fits you you will get a hell of a lot better results from it so your making the right decision mate. good luck with your new rifle.. SKoT
  17. vermin hunters tv .. stage 2 tuned hw97kt .. comparison .177 vs .22 get a vid up haha! lol great matching pair now that you got there Si
  18. for a hw95 you would be better off with a 40mm scope than a 50mm.. hawke sport hd 3-9x40 is a great, cheap option. I have a 4-12x40 panorama ev on my hw95k and its very nice and balanced, not too big for the gun, just right atb SKoT
  19. probably would have loads of dodgy chemicals in mr sheen that might damage your gun. get some proper gun oil mate or balistol i use a silicone cloth
  20. Cheers davy i rekon this will be pretty useful and help keep a few people on the right side of the law
