  1. Brand new Weihrauch HW100 special View Advert Hi all, I have on order a Weihrauch HW100, but not a standard model. The rifle I have ordered, and paid a £250 deposit for, is a full length (not the KT version) in the adjustable laminate stock. It is also a special order due to the calibre, which is .20. I ordered this through a well known and reputable RFD, who placed the order through Hull Cartridge on June 4th. The time I was quoted for delivery was 8-10 weeks, so should be in very soon. Obviously I don't have pics because I haven't re
  2. Hahaha never heard it called that before, I'm nicking that. Now I can only view my new gun as a tart in tarts clothing ? Not sure the bunnies will see it that way tho....
  3. Hi I'm new to the forum, Just looking to say hello and also to get a few opinions on which .20 pellet to give best output and accuracy in this rifle? I dont have the rifle yet it is currently on order in laminate stock version, should have it mid July. The Kaisers at around 11.5 grain look a decent shout but just wanted to get an idea of what other people are using in their .20 barrels. Cheers Lee
  4. I'll stick a few pics up of the rifle tomorrow, it's a beauty :-) I had a couple of magpies yesterday after spending some time fine tuning the zero....they dropped without flinching, it certainly packs a punch. 11.37 recorded in the shop with AA diabolos, but on my friends combro ( I think that's what he said it was called, it goes over the end of your rifle) it showed as 11.30 as a five shot average. Anyway, more than enough. I'm more than happy with my choice, it's going on an evenings ratting on Friday after the abattoir has closed. That should be great fun. Lee
  5. Well I've been shopping and after handling a few makes and models, the weihrauch hw95k just felt right to me. The staff at manchester air guns were really helpful, they fitted a nikko sterling scope (lovely clear optics) and chrono'd the gun with a few brands of pellet, air arms field 5.52's producing a solid 11.37 ft lbs. I love the fit and finish on the rifle, it just feels quality. Thanks for all your advice it was much appreciated Lee
  6. Thankyou all very much, that has definitely helped me narrow it down a bit. I had a look at a few reviews of the weihrauch hw98, it looks like a nice bit of kit.....one I hadn't considered but the more I look at it, the more I like it. Si, I didn't want to appear obsessed with the rifles power, I just have a problem with any product not living up to Its claimed spec that's all. So something around the 11 ft/lb Mark with good build and accuracy will do me, I'd love an SFS tuned 98 :-) But I live in Manchester so maybe I'd be better ordering the rifle and paying for the tune u
  7. Cheers both of you for your thoughts. I just watched the video on YouTube of the lads from Verminhunters TV collecting and testing the Walther lgv competition rifle. They chrono tested the rifle at a touch over 10 ft lbs. On Airgun TV there is a review of the same rifle by Nigel Allen who recorded an average of 11.5. Why such a difference?? I get it if the lower reading was with bis mags or something heavy but I'm pretty sure it wasn't.
  8. Hi everyone, I'm new to the site and the forums, I felt it would be useful to draw on the experience available here to help make up my mind on a new rifle. Although I appreciate the benefits of Pcp rifles, I don't want the hassle of refilling the rifle, worrying about shots left and power curves etc. I want something that I can rely on for good accuracy, consistent high power, and that will last years if looked after. I don't mind paying for quality. The thing bothering me the most is the difference in power levels even between examples of the same rifle. Some chrono new at a
