trains seem easy enough for me to plan.. would someone be able to pick me up (Friday -depending on holidays at work- or Saturday), and drop me off (Sunday evening after the meet finishes) at Rochdale train station ??? I could chip in for some petrol money need to get the vmach hw97kt bedded in and make sure it stays under the limit..

never know, there that bloody sneaky and cunning!

Its all sorted now mac, needed a 3mm hex key to tighten the plate to the stock and my scrwewdriver to loosen the adjustable pad. rear trigger guard screw had loosened slightly aswell after about 600 shots since re-assembly. thinking about it now actually me whacking the butt to see if my trigger was too light to be safe probably loosened the butt plate

Hw 95Ks - 310 - What's This ?
Skot Ruthless Teale replied to Hudson's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Heres what the look like with the standard hw silencer SKoT -
hey guys my hw97kt's but pad has started coming loose, not the metal to metal bit, but where the metal meets the wood of the stock, at the bottom. I know it will be a simple tightening of a screw, but has anybody else had this happen? between both my hw97k actions whilst they have been fitted in this stock I must have shot about 5000 pellets. I don't think they recoil that bad so is 5000 shots about right for the buttpad to start coming loose.? cheers SKoT

What Is Your You Opinion ?

as davy just said, my hw95k was a dog out of the box, making awful grinding noises when cocking and twangy as hell on firing.. all I spent on it tho actually was a few quid for some wirewool and some moly grease , opened her up, smoothed all the parts a bit and re greased her with quite a liberal amount of moly and now shes a stuniing rifle to use. not 'tuned' as such but definitely very smooth with little recoil VERY quiet, not twangy, and accurate and very consistent with a max spread of 13 fps over 10 shots with jsb exacts 4/52 straight from the tin. im actually quite proud of mys -
cant remember if my tins at £10.50 came from aaron wheelers Brighouse or Kirklees guns in Huddersfield. got to shop around for best price lol just been out with the hw97kt .177 which I fitted a vmach kit to today and to be honest I cant really tell a difference from the original weihrauch parts fettled by myself and the new vmach parts waste of £ haha should have got a tony wall kit instead. think my next rifle will be tuned by him tho to see what difference it makes. im not as good a shot as you but I was managing 5p sized groups at 34 yards quite consistently with the jsb exact ..

just watched this again, as my v-mach kit has just arrived for my .177 HW97KT got that to fit, clean the barrel, and then wash & lube 4 tins of pellets!! then I can go do some plinking and get it bedded in and chronoed to see what its putting out. im not going to put any washers in until its bedded in. hope it settles at about 10 - 10.5 ftlbs with its favoured pellet so it stays the right side of the law and will hopefully be very smooth and nice to shoot. thanks again Darryl for the excellent advice in the vid SKoT

just been lamping shot a full grown bunny right in the hotspot, kneeling un-supported at 40-45 yards, with the hw97k .22 IT did 1 frontflip and came to rest on the floor where it was sat with 1 kick of the back legs and laid still. 5 seconds later after I've reloaded and flicked lamp back on, there's Charlie with my rabbit in his mouth and off he tots! I Just wish id have had a bigger gun ... lol So feeling pretty gutted I dragged my feet all the way home in a big sulk haha Thanks for reading, SKoT

Evening And Morning Rabbit Control
Skot Ruthless Teale replied to Stuart1985's topic in Airgun Hunting
just 5 mins from me is a field where there are rabbits but its public land and everyone walks dogs there so no chance of shooting them, I took my dog out last night at about 730 pm and saw 5-6 rabbits out in the quiet areas near their warrens. and fri evening I took him out about 6pm seen more people about but there was still 2-3 rabbits out, again close to their warrens. there aren't loads of rabbits there just a few but they seem to be out anytime after 5 I would say. depending how quiet the land is. I suppose out in the countryside they would be out all day, unless a fox or -
it happens to everyone mate don't let it get to you too much. maybe im just cold and heartless when it happens to me but it doesn't really bother me that much. as long as you finish them off properly straight away then theres no harm done. nobody likes to see an injured animal but at least you didn't let it suffer for too long and sorted it out quickly. keep up the good shooting Elliot mate SKoT

Good Tuning Kit For A Aa Tx200?
Skot Ruthless Teale replied to roosika's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
seriously tho power isn't everything - a 9-10 ft lbs rifle will do the job to any sensible range if the pellet hits the right spot.. accuracy in putting it there, and patience to wait for the right shot opportunity -
