    ive always said I don't fully trust mine (combro) if my guns doing 12.3 and my chrono says its doing 11.3 then im foooked if cops test it. I walk to my permissions so more chance of getting stopped by cops if they see a rifle slip on my shoulder, rather than it being in a car boot not visible and on show .. and if theres more chance of just a quick chat with the cops then that automaticaly increases the chances of them possibly wanting to test it. so I NEED , perhaps more than other people, to know 100% that my gun is legal.

    I have a really nice hw95k aswell mate they are a cracking rifle, every bit as accurate as my more expensive hw97's and quieter aswell. I prefer my heavy guns tho and I cant get the best out of my hw95k its just not the rifle for me, doesn't 'fit' me.. which is a real shame as I do love the rifle. let us know how you get on with your new rifle mate and don't forget some pics atvb SKoT

    excellent read bigmac great to see your training him well and your so proud of him - not even kidding it almost brought a tear to my eye - , yeah im a big softie but im hoping I one day have a son or even a daughter that I can take fishing and shooting, and then my grandkids aswell. then they can teach their young 'uns just like you and little hunter. he looked well happy with his kills mate , especially funny was the bit where you dropped the rabbit and he killed it hahaha kids eyhh what are they like!! little buggers hahaha keep up the good work mate atvb SKoT

    I wouldn't trust it as much as a proper chrono mate. try it with a proper chrono and see if they both give the same results...? local gunshop should test your rifle for you if you don't have your own chrono

    if your used to .177 then getting a .22 will teach you a bit about trajectory and holdover.. I don't know anything about 'real' guns tho lol also apparently spring air rifles are the hardest guns to fire as they recoil not just backwards but forwards aswell. so if you can shoot a springer accurately you should be ok with any gun??

    its had a couple of dings in it to be honest nothing major tho. could sand it down and get rid of them but I don't want to balls it up and have no experience at re finishing a stock

    its a nice quiet relaxing place would be better if there were rabbits down there for me to shoot, I only see the odd squirrel every now and agin shot too many last year lol even though its private land and im the only one with permission I find fu**ing campfires and beer cans down there every now and again.. little c**ts off the estate, wouldn't bother me so much if they had a bit of respect and took their f**king rubbish home with them..     I came back to air rifles last year after a 3-4 year break and got a bsa lightning xl .177 what a bag of sh1te that was!!, nothing compared to my old bsa supersports that I had when I was a teen.. thinking about it, I was still a pretty good shot near enough straight away and my grouping looked similar to yours.. then I bought the hw97 and my group size halfed instantly theres only so much you can do with a sh1t gun mate.. il put money on if you had a better gun you would get better results straight away. save up a bit of cash and part ex your lightning for a HW or AA the hw
