  1. Wish there was that many in my farmers shed.. see the odd one or two every few months great shooting mate. charge him £2 a pigeon SKoT
  2. Cheers mate there was about 20 flying about all sat in the edge of the field, its just been cut so there after some easy worms I rekon.. they were a good 40 yards from the wall, I could have probably crawled over to the wall and got a shot at another, but it was too windy to risk a shot at that range
  3. Ayup guys, I thought I'd take the hw95k out for a plinking session, as I really neglect this gun when it comes to going out I just prefer my 97's! It looked a bit windy but I thought I would grin and bare it... So I got there and sat down and got this group at 35 yards with the jsb exacts.. No bloody good!! As you can see there's 4 good shots - high and left (one just clipped the side of the target) and then one about an inch off to the right.. I hate shooting in the wind! So I thought I'd call it a day early and set off home.. Then seen this bandit sat high up about
  4. in my local butchers they go for about £3-£3.50 I think, so obviously they need to make a profit on them so you wont get much per rabbit, best if you can shoot a lot in one night
  5. haha that's like saying you will never playfootball incase the ball gets kicked at your nackers .. it hardly happens, but if it does after a good period of time to get over the shock and pain you just carry on.
  6. a quick tip mate.. when I went shooting with a mate he was throwing the gun allover the place and shooting like a shotgun. a quick word about holding it the same everytime and not putting your eye against the scope, a quick word about eye relief and a quick youtube ratting nightvision vid to show him how steady the crosshairs need to be, and he was hitting a 2p sized target almost everytime! so a quick word with the farmer to make sure hes going for headshots and a bit of a lesson in technique to make sure he can shoot before he starts injuring the pigeons. don't make it sound too
  7. cocking lever rivet? which bit is that..? the sliding cocking shoe on mine came out I think when I took the piston out.? cant remember tho its months since I did my hw95k!
  8. say you wanted to fiill a small glass, from a 1.5L bottle of coke you might get 6 small glasses.. but from a 2L bottle you might get 8 same with the 300bar bottle you can fill your gun to full pressure more times than the same sized 232bar bottle, for example 7L
  9. Train em' while there young eh! good to see the young'uns getting involved on here, like Littlehunter and bigmac aswell, bet your very proud. very good. atvb. SKoT
  10. agreed bigger is better when hunting. although I don't do too bad with my .177 last runner I got was with my .22 tho -- a rabbit at about 20 yards,, could see the pellethole and blood gushing out next to its eye . then it got up and ran about 10 yards to the warren and got down its hole. I was gutted!!
  11. hahaha madhead! you cant really get much better I wish I could get a prosport but I cant shoot right handed for toffee! tried the other day with the hw97kt and it just felt totally wrong. im a lefty its that simple if I win the lottery I will have 2 prosports in both .177 and .22 with custom stocks for my left handed shooting
  12. crow sport strikes again then mac eh! good arra'z SKoT
  13. sometimes I can put 3 or 4 shots all touching at 35 yards .. SOMETIMES haha and I have to be on very good form to do it,, then the 4th or 5th shot usually goes and inch in a different direction! haha but hey that's just springers for ya! edit to add.. theres not a cat in hells chance of me doing it past 45 yards tho
  14. a little bsa meteor might come up . probably enough power for rats and rabbits if you can get within about 20-25 yards ??
  15. thats unfortunate that your out of work mate your not going to get anything decent for that sort of money realistically. might I suggest .177 then aswell as pellets are cheaper have a look on facebook selling pages my mates picked up a couple of little old bangers off there for less than 100 quid, nothing good enough for hunting, but good enough for shooting tin cans to see if you like shooting.
  16. my take..? waste of time, effort, money, space, and pellets you wont hit a barn door with it. and it will p1ss you off then you will end up throwing it at the target. try get a hw99s or a bsa supersport or bsa lightning -there not too bad little guns to get you started.
  17. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/288643-tuning-and-fitting-a-vmach-kit-to-an-air-arms-prosport-part-1/?hl=%2Bvmach+%2Bkit here mate have a look at this aswell great vids about fitting a tuning kit all credit goes to Darryl aka Marksman
  18. its rated very highly by a few members on this site who know their stuff. not sure about prices mate but there great guns apparently. I had a shoot with one a few weeks back, it was dark but the gun seemed very quiet and nice to shoot
  19. I went lamping last night with a mate on his permission and god the grass was almnost knee high in most places. we only say 1 rabbit and that was down a farm track on the way between fields. my mate got it with a nice prone shot off the bipod with his aas200 at about 26 yards.
  20. whats your budget mate.? that's the main thing we need to know could get a hw99s there a great little gun .. brand new there around 220 get a hawke sport hd 3-9x40 scope and some mounts for about 60-70 brand new or same set up for about 150-200 second hand
