  1. think my next springer will be a hw77k summer forest laminate in .20 only thing holding me back is money , and im a bit unsure of the avaliable pellet range and selection in .20
  2. are you refering to mawders post A tale of two halfs about his experiences with the dodgy prosport ?? http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/285014-a-tale-of-two-halfs/?hl=%2Btale+%2Bof+%2Btwo+%2Bhalfs
  3. my old 97 developed a bit of a squeek on the underlever when cocking it. nothing major like but it was there, niggling away at me.!
  4. fry do you want to come get your haircut with me, together?? all you seem to go on about is my hair salon
  5. 50 is more than enough mate. 10-20 maximum. dont you have a rough idea of previous use, 1000, 2000, 3000?? some say after 500 it will be run in, but im not convinced, id personally say between 1000-1500 to fully bed a rifle in... for a 100% accurate pellet test accuracy result you are better off waiting untill it is fully bedded in, but even from brand new it shouldnt be THAT erratic..? i think poor shooters use that as an excuse to bad shooting results.. a bad workman will always blame his tools.........
  6. basically mate, try them all with no wind. everything makes a slight difference.. E.G 4.51 vs 4.52 .. tight fit vs loose fit .. hard lead vs soft lead yes you will have to re-lead between brands, and AA field diabolo 4.51 is a very good starting point. and yes it is trial and error. the joys of pellet selection....... when you find 'the' right pellet tho, your rifle will never miss a beat and will match any pcp, if you can do your bit good luck atb SKoT
  7. I think people hold their rifle at a different angle.. for example my brother holds mine full blown sideways like a black gangsta with a pistol.. and im talking a hw97k LOL But if i set mine up with a spirt level im pretty sure it would be canted to the left at quite an angle due to my body shape and posture and scope to eye alignment... everyone holds their rifle differently. SKoT
  8. hooked a few ducks when fishing the margains on sweetcorn size 10 hooks and 8lb line, up at yeadon tarn... thing is theres loads of dog walkers and kids around through the day so after your epic battle and when you finally 'land' and unhook the duck you cant really knock them on the head and chuck them in a bag gutted lol .. could always do the polshkie trick and take a few carp home for the pot....
  9. 97. try them both if you can before you make a decision. there both as good as eachother
  10. if your good at fishing it should be a piece of piss. if there close enough in anyway lol. just takes patience and a set of sharp trebles. i dont know if its against the law to throw some bread in to the edge of the water to attract them, then shoot them.. might be classed as baiting them or something..?
  11. nice lump of wood on that r10 good shoooting mate enjoy them woodies
  12. shoot them when their on the banking, or go in for them. or get a spinning rod with a spinner on it and cast it over them and try hook a duck
  13. as above mate. be very carefull.. get close enough and make sure you hit them in the right spot. i had one with my .177 last year in season at 35 yards on the laser rangefinder, bang on my zero range, it was a rested shot off a fence post, with no wind otherwise i wouldnt have taken it. hit it right next to its eye and it just fell over. they taste sooo goood aswell
  14. ayup phil i believe this sort of scenario to rfer to somebody who has ''all the gear, but no idea''!! like mole said loads of dpm suits for £36 is all you need regards, SKoT
  15. click your windage all the way to the right, then count the clicks untill its all way to the left, then put it half way between before you mount it onto your rifle. do the same with the elevation aswell.
  16. now! now! Skot you cant rush a good thing!!! 4q
  17. loving the slowmotion!! that last rabbit, near the fence post.. what a shot! SKoT
  18. normally its the ultra, scorpion or r10 that everyone shows off bsa wise, nice to see something a bit differnt for a change. heard a lot of great things about these hornets when they first came out lovely looking rifle pal
  19. you on about the Daystate Rangemaster Li ? in .177 both of my guns hate them but in my .22 rifle they seem to be ok. perhaps some dodgy quality control issues going on with the manufacturers ?? seems like that everywhere nowadays!
  20. well in great shooting si, that reticule is growing on me didnt like it at first, might have to get my own to have a play with id love to have a permission like that!! havent shot a proper rat for years, just there flying, and bushytailed cousins SKoT
  21. looks like a hw100t or kt good shooting moley and nice write up. who actually cut the bush down then? ask the rabbit for me
  22. seriously tho mike, why dont you knock on every neighbours door and give them a brief explanation about your low power air rifle, and how safe it is, and allow them to come for a demonstration of what you do in your garden, plink safely into a safe backstop, hardly disrupting the peace, or whatever it is their kicking off about.. in a nice way ofcourse.. if they decline or get arsey, or dont understand, or just plain dont want you shooting in the garden, then dig up as much dirt you can on them, like you said, drug dealing wifebeaters an all that... or just tell them your staff is act
