I was lucky enough to be given some tickets to take the kids to Alton towers this week, and we had a lovely time except for one thing. It was announced that there would be a minutes silence in respect for the victims of the shooting in Tunisia, so the rides were stopped, the music turned off etc and everybody stood really nice and quiet, even managing to keep tiny children quiet. Everybody except a group of seven or eight men, and I mean older men in their 30s and 40s who were not just talking, but actually laughing and joking. This was absolutely disgusting, and the looks on the faces of

Yes the leopard seal is not only large and aggressive, but also designed to eat meat such as penguins and other seals rather than fish. They have killed people in the past. Speak to any sealion trainer in a zoo or such who has been around a bit, and they will tell you that sealions can be very dangerous, not just good at balancing balls on their nose!

Yeah good old boy wasn't he. God bless.

I Noticed some old leaves or such stuck into the overflow pipe from my workshop sink the othe day, and started o pull them out and it was actually a wrens nest! Carefully pushed them back, and they hatched yesterday. The pipe is only half inch diameter.

Those were incredibly rare, faberge made them. At least ten grand.

Did you get film of these dogs when they were released? And also a behaviouralist or vet to comment on their physical and mental condition. Don't worry too much about the mental state of the dogs, I have handled a lot of troubled dogs and you may be surprised at how good a recovery they will make. The most important thing is that you try to forget about heir ordeal, and if you can move on so will they. So many problem dogs remain that way because the owners won't let them, the owners seem to think hat ogs dwell on things the same wAy people do when in fact dogs live in the NOW not the PAST.

I feed pork from time to time, with no problems. Some of the dogs have slightly loose stools, but no worse than when they are fed any other meat they are not used to. After a couple of days their guts adjust.

I might ring the rescue centre and ask if the dog comes win a trial......

It hasn't been made clear if the dog left the garden, or the other dog came in. Either way, as somebody already said, the garden is obviously not secure!! The police won't be interested, but there is always a chance, however small, of civil action being takn by the owners. Small claims court or whatever. Be the bigger man, go round and have a grown up chat, ask what you and they can do to sort our the issue and stop any future problems. Take a responsible attitude and this will count in your favour. It will also count for everyone else whose staffs get accused of being aggressive.

I think it is very u likely that you will find a vet who will do amputations on dogs without general anaesthetic. The exception might be if the actual tail had gotten so necrotic that the nerves had died, or if the damage was so bad that again the nerves were not functioning. I guess this was the case with your cow? It doesn't sound as though this is the case with the OPs springer

I'm on my daughters I pad so I don't know onto copy and paste the address, but if you google "RSPCA costs paid by taxpayer" there are some good stories .

It's not about suffering, it's about the vet trying to save the dogs life, o at least not put it in any avoidable danger. Heart murmurs can be a sign of a number of different complaints, and some are life threatening. Going under general anaesthetic potentially could put a fatal amount f strain on the heart. Some vets would take the opinion that the dogs tail would be better treated by not taking it out mooching, just take it o h local park. Some vets might even say that the heart is being further pressured by this type of exercise, whether the dog likes it or not. A heart specialist may be ab

Painful But Undetectable Injury.
beast replied to Buch's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
We should all endeavour to be keepers and trainers, I’ve often advocated owners going over their dogs on a weekly basis, why wait till it’s injured. If owners went over their dogs weekly they would know exactly how the joints normally feel, move etc along with the normal muscle tension, size and feel plus the dog would be used to the process. Then when an injury happens they would have the confidence to go over the dog and the experience to pick out even little niggles in most cases. Good post. We should all know how our dogs should"feel" nd also be aware of exactly how they should move, walki -

You will be making knots you have never even heard of in minutes Show us http://despawson.com/books%20corr.html Handbook of knots would be the one for you, I think
