  1. I think that quote was given by the late, great Dr Adrian Rogers, a baptist preacher from the U.S - 'asleep' now . . http://www.hoax-slayer.com/norman-rockwell-moment.shtml See through the flowery introduction and listen to the start of this sermon, quite funny!! http://youtu.be/E3gApAhu4FU
  2. I've used the bliss bedding that Gaz mentioned, not sure it was purely down to the bedding, but I had a flea epidemic!! Nice and clean otherwise. I'm about to order some profleece, if the feckers pull it out they can sleep on bare wood!!
  3. Give the bull x boys something to go after ha ha . . Nice idea, in practice not so sure . . Live stock ravaged, angry farmers etc . .
  4. I think I would be singing this one if my good lady ever left me . . :-|
  5. Ha ha . . Ah that would establish the notion then tomo . . And I've just remembered something I've read or heard elsewhere, about the Falklands and how our marines and paras had a bit of 'lively' competition with one another . . I've seen even the closest of friends develop a bit of needle when there is something at stake, especially pride and suppose there will always be bragging rights at stake as to who's the toughest etc . . Regardless of regiment, when it comes to our special forces, I am proud to be British.
  6. I've got a friend who is has a keen interest in 'special forces' both home and abroad, he says most of what the SAS get credited for is actually carried out by the SBS ? Not sure how true that is given that the SBS would mainly operate in and around water you would think . . He also reckons of all the elite services the maddest of all is the French Foreign Legion, "French"?!? Said I, but apprantly they're made up of mercenaries worldwide.
  7. Ha ha that's ironic you should say "lucky" I hooked up with a dog man when Oscar was 14 months, after seeing him run he concluded "you got lucky with him" I remember taking acceptation at the time thinking "I traveled 500 miles and emptied my piggy bank of £150 to get him, lucky?" The man in mention later turned out to be a green eyed bullsh*tter but he was on the money with statement. He's a pleasure to own. And yep snap on your latter point, altough I do like the idea of having a bit of history in what you're running. .
  8. Not far off Katchum, deerhound/grey/whippet. 5 years old now, thinking of what bitch to put him to. .
  9. Thanks cocker. He's a bit of a show pony through the summer months, earns his keep through the colder months though.
  10. Cracking bitch cocker, supreme condition, well done to you. My favorite dog is my one of my two current running dogs. 26"tts and just shy of 60lb. "Put in what you want out" certainly is a good formula, nothing is for certain in this game though, do your best and hope for the best.
  11. Mmm . . This interest me greatly . . I've seen nice sobers become nasty drunks and vice versa . . My father-in-law is the most quiet of men, but when he's had a few he's like a canary . . Does a drunk man speak a sober man's mind and all that? It's facinated me. . As said before, 100% teetotal, always have been. . Before working as a barman I'd never seen a non violent drunk, didn't think it was possible!!
  12. If old Hancock had a pound for every time he was mentioned on here he'd be a rich man ! . Or richer than he already is ha ha
  13. Bedo, drop me a pm. I'll put you in touch with a man that breeds working English Bulls.
  14. Sorry, just seen you've tried AVG.
  15. It's a rip off Kay, AVG free will do the job. I've actually not used anything on my laptop for the last couple of years, it slows your computer down quite a lot.
  16. Heavyweight boxing and "try a few things out" . . Mmmm not sure that's a good recipe, especially as White is unbeaten and will have some belief having beaten Joshua in the amateurs. . I mean Joshua does need all the experience he can get. I believe he the future of the heavyweight division. I see Wladimir retiring before that match is made. . A good fight where Joshua would be tested is against the Russian Povetkin
  17. It's nice to hear of folks going their separate ways amicably . . I've only known quite the contrary, I mean blue murder :-/ I do find it hard to accept how some people remain on good terms, even going on double dates and such. . I wish I would be that sensible, I doubt I would be though! I think it's really something that you've shared your situation and as everyone else, wish you the very best. . I always hope for good ending, in that a time apart will make for a greater reconciliation. . Not like that is always for the good. ATB
  18. I'm getting older, but not wiser :-/

  19. Or hill. . Preseli mountains, isn't that where the Stonehenge stones came from??
  20. I would say Wales judging by the mountain in the background
  21. And in Wales too?!? Unbelievable. What would Cayo Evans have said ha ha
  22. I'll gingerly admit it, I'm on 'jungle book' and I'm on a few 'working dog' groups . . From time to time I see some stuff that really boils my p*ss, hares killed in long grass May time for example. . One idiot even asked how he could get his dog to stand up on his hinds better, he can't see the hare in the grass!! That took the biscuit. . But grassing for such things, for me you'd be bordering on the 'anti' side. That doesn't mean it's never right to grass, better put 'inform' . . Would have to be serious though for me, rape and murder of the innocent, pedophilia obviously.
  23. Funny you should say that, my dog was judged at a show in the summer by a well known coursing man, when he noticed the tatoo in his ear he said "is he a greyhound ?!?" He'd never known of a working dog tattooed! In answer to your question, I looked up the National Dog Tatoo Register, I found a local guy who I happened to know through another capacity, he's done mine - all legit, £25 pound per dog. . Cheaper if you had a litter done I think
  24. Even if tattooed I suppose? Well that was a waste of money on my behalf, got all mine inked, more secure I figured! I here vets are offering to chip now, free of charge around my way.
  25. It's never too late this day and age, in fact I don't think there's ever been a better time to 'return to learn' I met a woman back in the summer, late fifties I would say, she was wearing a 'student' badge, I asked what she was studying "social work" she replies, I asked what background she was coming from, not much! She said went on to say she'd only ever kept the books for her husband who ran a little taxi firm, he traded her in for a younger model and left her in her tod, kids grown up and gone . . So she didn'tt want hang around and is now on her last years of a degree. She choked when I
