Bible Questions For Francie And Anyone Else With An Opinion
*The*Field*Marshall* replied to yorkshire's topic in General Talk
No, not quite truther. I can follow your logic, but only so far. You're missing the vital component - The Holy Spirit - If the Holy Spirit's divine guidance was there during writing, you can be sure He was there during the compilation! If mans agenda was evident in the scriptures then I could sympathise with your disposition, but God's agenda is undeniable. It's theme speaks of salvation from God, not service to man. It commands to "give preference to one another" and to "treat others how you would want to treated" not to bow to the hierarchies. "Test all things"! Not accept all th -
Bible Questions For Francie And Anyone Else With An Opinion
*The*Field*Marshall* replied to yorkshire's topic in General Talk
Boys, you've heard our answers before on these matters - it seems the same old fellas are coming back with the same old objections. The Bible was penned by men in the Spirit of God, the 3rd personage of the one triune God. I've always thought of it like this - God's hand uses a man for pen. The canon of scripture: this is the event where a counsel headed by Polycarp decided what books, gospels and letters where compiled together to make what we now know as The Bible. There was strict criteria for what was considered, internal and external verification was needed. Externally, a -

Bible Questions For Francie And Anyone Else With An Opinion
*The*Field*Marshall* replied to yorkshire's topic in General Talk
Answering the original question (I'm sure somebody already has, resoundingly so) so this will serve as a reiteration. Was Jesus God or merely the son of God?? The bible itself answers that questions again and again. To those who know the bible you'll know that "I AM" is the name of God, see below. God said to Moses, " I AM WHO I AM"; and He said, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.'" (Exodus 3:14 NASB) The Pharisees when questioning Jesus about who He was claiming to be "So the Jews said to Him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and hav -
I didn't think he would recover - thoughts with his family. Makes you wonder what Schumacher's outcome will be.

I'd have half a dozen Ronaldo's and six of Messi - two great players, I can't seperate them - I appreciate Messi more purely because he hasn't the same physical stature Ronaldo does. I think both could line up in the best 11 of all time.

Previous problems?!? I would be after a spot of compensation I think. . Last I heard no one was seriously hurt, luckily. I've been there like a lot of you - as fun as it is, only a matter of time with these theme parks. Same with Oakwood, Wales.

Sound promising pups - price ?

Then stick with your uncle on that one mush, Fury ain't worth a light up to A.J I bet a travelling boy back in 1999 when my brother boxed Simon O'Donnel of Dale Youth, he won and I paid up - there was a return in the Semi's the follwing year, I bet the same boy (must've been a relation) my brother gained revenge with a second round stoppage at Crytal Palace - I only seen the back of that boy! Come to think of it, we had a bit of friction with DeGale that - he was a horrible character back then.

I believe Khan has ruled himself ready for September, regardless of his observations - can't see it being competive

Hi f.m, so what do you think of joel osteen an the rest of them tv preachers, personally, imo, joel is a new age preacher, he uses quotes from the bible thats it, the rest is new age bullshit, same of 99% of tv preachers, imo theres hardly any biblical churches anymore, most have been infiltraited, an swayed away from the gospels. Hi agree a 100% Francie. Joel Osteen is not in the same category as the likes charlatans like Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland and other word of faith televangelists - but I feel he's nothing more than a great motivational speaker who adds Christ into the mix - that s

Shepp you must be pulling my leg me old mate?!? Ha ha hope you're well. Seriously, I don't know too much about the CRC you mentioned - I'll have a look at them. I am well familiar with Hillsong though, it's not a church I wouldn't entertain - I went to a 'show' at the 02 where Joel Osteen was speaking - Hillsong were there providing the 'music' I mean they made worldy 'concerts' I've manned to look amateurish! And I'm talking Kings of Leon! Ha ha. I'm little more conservative in my approach to 'worship' I will say this though, there's no chance of being judged with them! ATB

Mayweather may finish with an easy money fight against Khan - it will be like taking candy from a baby for him He may choose to fight Cotto at middle, he's already beat Cotto at light middle and if he beats him again at middleweight I think that will make Mayweather a 6 weight world champion. I would like to see him fight GGG, unlikely, I've doubted Mayweather before - I shouldn't do it again! Floyd is masterful and skilfully alone one of the very best of all time.
-
Khan has great fitness, workrate and hamdspeed. I watched the bout, I thought it was a good one. I feel Khan is vastly overrated and an encounter with Mayweather would be an embarrassing affair for him - he's simply not in that class. He should think of becoming a world champion via beating his British rival Kell Brook, which I don't think he could do either. Sorry, maybe I'm being biased! I spent time with him back in 2001, England v Ireland at Dungarven - he come across as one arrogant motormouth.
-
Yes - morning and evening J If you go and feel condemned, then the chances are you are not in a "church" church is commonly misunderstood to be a building, the church is in fact a gathering of people who are meeting in the name Christ. "Chapel" would be more apt. Chapel folk are largely not Christian, I call them God botherers, they do what they want 6 days a week and turn up to bother God on a Sunday! The sad fact is the large majority of you have probably never been near a church, in the true sense of the word.

Wrong section mate, put it on the running dog section. Someone will have his number - I think he's a member on here too ?

Round 2 ? hard not to get carried away with the hype now. I wonder if Johnson wants a rematch ?

Back to A.J - I think I may have come across a bit dismissive before. I do see this guy as one hot British prospect. At 6ft.6" 16.5st. Fast, fluent and powerful he will be force to be reckoned with, physically he's as complete as Wladimir, for me the most physically gifted heavyweight today. But I'm refusing to get too excited about Joshua just yet, because for me he reminds me of David Price a little bit, in that whilst he's physically well rounded, the immaterial side of the man, nerv, belief, confidence etc - I'm not so sure about - I guess time will tell. I don't see him having any difficu

We are hitting on a broad subject here! I think it's all about terminology. When considering someone's nationality you have to take into consideration two things - Culture and Origin, both must be taken seriously, depending on your own personal disposition you'll either lean to one more than the other, I'm personally more concerned with culture than origin, but both are paramount. If a man is born in Britain, raised in Britain, has a British culture (broad as that is) represents Britain and has a British passport - whilst he may not have any claim to being British in origin, that doesn't

And not to get even further off topic, but why is this show pay per view! That's the second one for this month - I don't paying for it. Really hope Gavin does himself proud, top lad, know him well - but he's up against it with Kell, he is a big special.
-
Yawn. . A prime Iron Mike Tyson would've put these boys asleep, one after the other. . Just my opinion of course
-
I think A.J beats Fury now, too strong. I'm not convinced he's the full package yet, whilst he's got the build and all the tools. We won't know about the minerals until he's been tested - We've all seen boys in the gym look like champs, once the heavy artillery comes, they soon go to the bunker! I'm learning to appreciate Calzaghe more (as a fighter) since his retirement, his fitness and determination was something to behold. . Although, unfortunately I don't think that he will ever get the recognition he feels he deserves because he wasn't in the mix with the top boys when it mattered. Wh

If God Made Everything, Who Made Him ?
*The*Field*Marshall* replied to j1985's topic in General Talk
Some of these arguments are pointless, daft in fact. It doesn't really make any difference whether the big bang is true, and we all evolved from some shrimp in the sea. We still need a cause for it to happen? We believe an omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient God caused it. The notion of such a God explains everything, not just the origin of the universe, but of us – mind, will, emotion, conscience and conciousness. We have a basis for moral framework, justice and injustice. Without a God or transcendent being you have none of that. How can you say what is right or wrong? There's no such thing -
