  1. read a couple of terrier books by Dave Harcombe first and that will give you an idea.
  2. 2 for sale in c/w this week mate.
  3. Its a good picture I think of a trainer watching his hound work things out for itself as it surely will have to when its out of sight of its master. Pups that are kept away from fencing will be the ones who get in trouble with it.
  4. you cant beat proper quality B&F and you can buy a good hole puncher off them aswell.
  5. take him for walks where there is smell and just let him find it for himself, some are slow but dont encourage him. If you can get out with a pal who has a dog already hunting thats even better. In a few months you will be more worried about getting him back than anything. atb J.
  6. I run one for foxes, but it didnt really have the balls for it
  7. falcon prairie,bullbarrel walnut stock, mint condition +hw silencer and 1 8shot mag .177cal £230 was over £500
  8. She sounds a good bitch. Ive never seen a spaniel/terrier cross but ive always thought it would be a good cross if the right types were used. You would need to know what was behind the terrier breeding of course, you wouldnt want any suprises there. You already know the spaniel is pure so its only the terrier you would have to think about. If you could get a terrier from a close bred strain you would also get the hybrid vigour of the 1st cross in the pups. You could end up with pure hunting machine..or am i getting carried away?
  9. dont push him mate, just take him where there is smell and walk. Let him discover it. When he goes in a run just stand still ,dont distract him and dont encourage him,let him know that when he follows up a smell you will still be in the same place when hes finished. Hes only a pup.
  10. what you do in private is your own affair
  11. Anyone recommend a good guide in the midlands?
  12. all you need is a mini digger and bouser for fuel.
  13. The worst thing is being a wimp about it.Speak up loud and demand your tools back. Go and see a solicitor. Are you in the Countryside alliance? get help and get your stuff back, dont let them just steal it from you.
  14. inbreeding is the only way to breed a strain.
  15. Yes it was a joke.I am guessing you are not the sharpest pencil in the box by your aggressive language so I will explain. Raising something is to lift it off the ground.Hence the joke. Pups are reared not raised unless you are trying to sound American in which case you are a twat..
  16. If you go far enough back they were not classified into breeds as such but just evolved to suit local terrain etc.I think as long has a dog worked it was used and bred to another but inbreeding would of fixed type to an extent. People didnt travel far from home in those days so things were kept tight. A diffrent strain in every district.
  17. Thats a nice stamp of lurcher there. How is she bred if you dont mind me asking? and how old in the pic?
  18. Ask the CA or whoever you have insurance with or just google the cpa or Scottish equivlent and find out. The first law is to know the law, especially if you intend to bend it.
  19. I think you are talking about strains within a breed. Both those blokes had/have Patterdale types I think,so is youre question who has the best strain of Patterdale ? Or are you asking about individual breeds? in which case I would have to say Border is the best breed/type Ive kept.
