  1. My apologies,I thought you had a genuine interest.
  2. Yes it is very good. Its about how the pit bull evolved, how it grew in to what it is today, hence "the garden" It starts with the Mastive types.. I dont know about the author being a grass..I do know that he kept certain names out of the book because those people didnt want them printed. He also states several times that he himself does not support dog fighting..That didnt sound very undercover to me..Basically the book is very good and answers the question you are asking.
  3. Have you tried the bags yourself? whats it like?
  4. Ive still got a few in freezer. I dont want to roast them. Any suggestions welcome..not too complicated please!
  5. A half cross Bull/Grey of the right breeding can run and run. If its trained using running as the main aid. I only talk from experience of all types. I do know that Bull crosses can die from there own drive, and fitness needs to match the drive. That kind of fitness cannot be achieved by walking and/or short gallops.. The heart is the main muscle. Read velvet and steel by Bob Stevens, very interesting and very appropriate for a Bullx lurcher that has plenty of Bull in his blood.
  6. Greyhounds can never be as game has a pit bull thats obvious but I agree they are game enough for most of the time. They are great dogs, but they are getting weaker as far as soundness goes and they are nowhere near has intelligent has a pitbull that is one of the cleverist breeds there is.
  7. Have you read the pit bull Garden by D.Link ?
  8. Agreed mate but ,if I doubt I would use a pure greyhound, over a 1/2 cross I'd probably use a lurcher, too much to lose, only speed to gain,But I see what you are saying true that, having had straight 1/4 bull and 3/8 bull's back to greys, I think the3/8 bull prob the the better of the 2 , for wind and guts. Not saying 1/4 are no good, as they are, but ever time you dilute the bull to any running dog you going to loose wind+guts , you carnt help it it just genes will work like that. That's why some lads go back to a lurcher salxs etc to try keep stamina , if you want a faster type bullx. Bu
  9. Thats brilliant. Are they wild trout or the Rainbow trout?
  10. be careful..I bought off a company on internet and got a letter from DEFRA warning of prosecution. They said bigger customers than me had already been done and i still could be..
  11. Dry Cow tubes for dairy cows have the antibiotics in them if its for the tits its prob amoxycillin
  12. thats a longdog true, but some think anything racy is still a lurcher lol twats
  13. I stood about eight feet from a Hare in her seat. She was facing directly away from me so arse was nearest to me but her eyes were looking straight at me. That was weird, i couldnt work it out for a bit..but then i realised it was true about there eyes swivelling round and so are able to see the dog approach so the turn can be timed just right.
  14. i thought amoxy was a broad spectrum.
  15. I watched the NCD on a hill like that one day. It was facinating to watch a Hare from a distance that was not far in front of Hounds but running little ruses through the tussocky grass so that they were kept so near (but not in sight) but so busy she managed to beat them for some time. This was a tired Hare which was eventually caught. Who said Hares dont have intellect..This thread like that Hare is now just managing to stay just in front of the moronic point scoring and become interesting..Thanks for that.
  16. Cook in kennel or outside. Its quite high in calcium and is ok with other stuff. theres what you like to feed and then theres good stuff Atb Phil
  17. Is a Ganzi a cardigan? They used to say Ginzi in our house..is this the same thing?
  18. I agree with that. Meat first but mixer and cooked veg. Dont buy pet mince,it always has offal that will give the pup the trots. Get mince for humans or chicken. Tripe is very low protein and needs cooking.
  19. Spot on with that. I had used to have a bitch that had plenty of scarring but turned out to be useless as an earth dog,yet a well know terrier man (in the Terriermen book) wanted to buy her to put to his so called strain, even after i told him she would not stay. This man sells dogs all over the world..He didnt get the bitch. No one did,she stayed with me.
  20. Christ you must have been seriously bored
