Queens Head has not long reopened again after a major fire there. Don’t know what it’s like nowadays. Nice walks from Patterdale along the shores of Ullswater. The hunting lads swerve the White Lion now in the village. Big fall out with the new owners. Something to do with the lifting of shirts ??

Heard today that the former WBA forward had passed away after a short illness at the weekend. He was part the great team that Atkinson put together in the late 70s early 80s. A big, bustling, fast centre forward with a good peg on him, known as one of the Three Degrees, him, Cunningham and Batson. Aged into his late 50s, I enjoyed watching him

Managed to get up to Edinburgh last year for a fantastic weekend and to watch Scotland Vs Ireland. Still fresh in the memory. Love the rugby

Looking at some Barbour shirts earlier, they looked quite long. Have you looked on line for “long shirts” or “long backed shirts”. Maybe give John Norris at Penrith or some other seller of shooting attire a call and ask what they would recommend ?

Found a few dead people where I work. Spotted a guy acting suspiciously in a car park near where we were ferreting once and saw him dump a bag behind a wall. When he left we went and had a look. In the bag was sussies, wig, knickers all the gear. I think he got dressed up, knocked one out then changed back into his own gear. Well, that’s what my mate said anyway!

It’s a no brainer. May’s only doing the obvious and clearing the air regarding the hunting vote. We had no chance of winning the vote. Social media is real problem now, press a button and send bullshit to thousands of people in one hit, and most believe what they read. Keep supporting hunting and getting out there, it’s a few hundred noisy keyboard antis that are stirring things up.

There was never going to be a vote after she lost the majority, the government wouldn’t have won it. All she’s doing is more or less saying that. It wouldn’t have got through. She needs to be very careful with the advice she’s taking now. They’re in danger of alienating the countryside, if they haven’t already. Keep hunting

Good players don’t necessarily make good managers. Hughes style of football was shite and stoke will always be a mid table or relegation outfit. Giggs couldn’t manage a piss up in a brewery. He needs to carry on doing what he’s doing now, being a poor pundit. Football is all about opinions if you’re a fan.

Spot on stiffy, the money has ruined the game. I don’t watch it anymore. Used to travel all over watching Utd in the 70s and 80s. Can’t remember the last time I watched MOTD, but that’s the same, ex footballers giving their opinion and getting vast amounts of money. The money is staying with those that need it least. I watch my local non league team sometimes. 8£ and I have a laugh listening to the older guys shouting at the linesman or ref. I wish the big teams would try knocking their prices down for a change instead of spending millions of £s on some twat who’s scored a few goals
