  1. i had a great time. you and your mate are welcome down anytime
  2. pm bird off here hes got a decent genuine first X collie/grey
  3. its her first rabbit so i wouldnt worry to much about it, keep on going as you are with her she should get the idea eventually. the only thing is golf course rabbits are fast and difficult to catch even for older experienced dogs, imo the best thing you could do to help her is run her on some different ground which has easier to catch rabbits on until she gets going properly.
  4. khan showed his true colours when he lost to lamount peterson, hes a cry baby plain and simple. that fight with peterson was the beginning of the end for him. after this with garcia i think hes finished now.
  5. its already been said. i would try your local bone man before thinking about a MRI scan they might be able to sort the problem, much cheaper and alot better than the average vet. a women working in my local vets reckoned i was mad taking my dogs to a bone man. she asked me for the number to one i used earlier this year as there was a problem with her dog and the vet hadnt been able to sort it. her dogs all sorted now.
  6. my father had a lurcher bitch given to him that had broken two legs at different times a good 20 odd years ago. she had pins in the one leg which was broke when we got her. the vet said in his opinion she wouldnt be able to work again, that bitch died of old age and went on to have a perfectly acceptable working life. time patients and effort can sometimes reward you with a good repair of injurys.
  7. that seems to be a decent enough offer for some young lad. imo if a young lad takes the work on and sticks to it you know they are genuinely interested in doing that kind of work. after all game keeping is more a way of life, rather than just a paid job.
  8. isnt there a shoe for dogs a similar style to that which is used by the army or police force that protects there dogs feet against cuts from glass and other nasty stuff when working them in certain situations. didnt think there is any need to put them on a dog for general use lol.
  9. Probably mate there are a few, I came of most of those groups within days of joining them as realised was not going to be of benefit in any way to me. Some are not too bad but it just depends who is looking after them. And since most groups allowed all members to be listed publicly I figured it would be too easy for some do gooder to go on a print off a big list of all the members names... somethings going to change soon, just look at all the dogs in the homes! I don't want new laws made up about keeping dogs but it maybe for the better,, I was thinking something, like you
  10. i think your selling them abit to cheap mate, especially with all the work the parents have done.
  11. not so much of a weird course but a unlucky one for a rabbit. was out with a mate one night there wasnt much about so we were just letting the dogs run what ever rabbits we seen. we were in a field and there was a rabbit sat just out from the opposite hedge. we thought we may aswell let the dogs have a run, anyway the dogs got to the rabbit and put a couple of turns into it and for some strange reason the rabbit decides its going to run right the way across the middle of the field and go into the hedge by where we were stood. the rabbit had managed to pull away from the dogs and was headin
  12. your dog seems to be doing o.k. instead of whistling your dog back to you with the rabbit, try walking in the other direction away from the dog reasonably fast and just flick the lamp on the floor occasonally whilst still walking so as your dog can see where you are and he/she should bring the rabbit back to you.
  13. the kits look in real good condition
  14. fairplay thats a hell of a good fish. bet his heart was doing some racing from when he first saw it on his line, until it was safely landed.
  15. perhaps hes a little shy millet, it could be his first time
  16. good news that, i wish him atb.
  17. i like seeing the buzzards and other birds of prey aswell baw, but do you not think that if there is large populations of them in areas they should be controlled.
  18. look forward to seeing some of your finished work. thanks
